    Can anyone help me ?

    Tyre Pressure Vs. Temp.
In this Sim are we to assume that altering the pressure will adjust tyre temp ?
    I have made this assumption......

If this is the case, I cannot seem to raise the temp of the tyres on the Ginetta at Oulton Park.
I have attempted with the limited setup for the car.
Raising and lowering tyre pressures to upper and lower limits did not seem to bring the tyres into the 80c range. Mostly running cold around 65 - 68C after 5 laps for each setting.
Lowering and raising the vehicle, adjusted anti rollbars, dropped the bump stop, and nothing seems to work. adversely.

Can someone else take a look and see if it is me.......?
    Would appreciate some feedback.
    Thanks

Quite honestly Neil I think AMS2 at the current dev state has no realistic correlation between tire temp and pressure.
There is probably some difference between cars (and tracks!) - but again my personally oppinion is that if this correlation seems to work in some cars/tracks then its by more or less pure incidence/pure luck.;)

ByTheWay: Be aware that I mostly use the TT mode - but even in this mode then on some tracks the tires are melting after 2-3 laps. Without much correlation to the tire pressure I set.

I am no setup guru and there are a few members here that have a wealth of knowledge on this and give you more informed setup/physics information, but i'll give my limited (and largely trial and error) suggestions.

Firstly, adjusting tyre pressure seems to have a limited effect on temps for me. Have you adjusted the camber to max to try heat the tyres up? Other than that and the toe setting the only option is to just slide the car to induce heat into the tyres.

Also overheated tyres seem to have a more detrimental effect on the handling (and chances of spinning) than cool tyres unless they are stone cold, i.e. preheated slicks in wet conditions were faster than wets in a lot of cars until they cooled down after several laps on the last build. This may have been addressed in the latest build though.

Really appreciate your input here, I too was in TT and nothing seems to keep the temps at a realistic level for lap after lap, certainly in the Ginetta Cups. I agree the only real way seem to by applying toe or other geometry adjustment as Ramsay mentioned.

I went from applying ridiculous blind adjustment to the extreme with little or no differences. Running 1.90 bar on one corner and opposite at the lowest on opposite to see if I could induce even a margin of difference after 4 laps.........

So I agree here with Sir BrunoB, there is absolutely no correlation between temps and tyre pressures which is a great pitty, as time spent running telemetry and adjustment mean little or nothing, again in this car at Outlon Park.

    Thanks mind at rest........
Car tyres pressure totally fubar'd, see you in the sand trap....

    Hahaha - good one :p
Thanks Neil - but Mistar BrunoB would have been quite enough:p
