Ran SRL's (@mister dog) Road Atlanta event and I and a few others noted heavily degraded performance in-game as the event progressed. The event had 26 drivers, 2 Classes (LMDh and LMGT3), evenly split. The race started out OK, but as the race went on, frame rates deteriorated massively - to the point where at about the half-way point, I was likely in the 40s to 50s, and towards the end was at an extremely unstable ~35 FPS. The stuttering caused more than a few incidents - including one for myself over the crest when I mistook a stutter for car behavior and binned it, smashing my suspension and ending my race. Running the exact same event to the letter in single player had not even a single frame drop - running at a locked 117 FPS with about 20-30% CPU push across all cores (9900K 5 GHz, 32GB DDR4-3600) and about 55-70% GPU (3080 Ti OC, targeting 1440p 120 FPS). Something is clearly going wrong here specifically with the multiplayer - lower performance is expected to an extent, but nowhere near to this extreme. It could be that the event was hosted via P2P on the same PC mister dog was running on - he did not use a dedicated server or machine, as for years the dedicated servers had considerable issues (no idea if that's changed for this update). Perhaps this is the culprit - but regardless, it was so bad that I figured I should report it (and put it here rather than the Paddock Club thread). Thoughts/ideas/acknowledgements are welcome. Cheers.
