I want to introduce a few friends to AMS2 and am looking for some suggested car/track combos. More club-level with a focus on South American content as that will be totally new to them.

I will start off with P4s at Oulton Park International.

Any fast open wheeler at Suzuka should do the trick. Or F USA at Road America. Caterham at Donington. GT3 or GTE at Bathurst is a good race too.

For fast cars gt1/gte/ C's, formula's, Ultima race, vintage porsche. all good. +less chance incidents!
Buenos Aires 12 can be addictive for me (love the average high speed and high speed turns) then progression into the Buenos Aires variants, adding more technicality, yet still fast! & flowing. Sim is sooo big hard to choose sometimes.

The hot cars series is a hoot but AMS 2 is best in the formula cars. Throw them in the 1991 F1 cars or the Formula USA cars and let them have at it.

Depends on what you're after. I'd divide the cars by four "classes" first:
    High-end performance (e.g. F-Ultimate Gen1, Gen2, F V10 Gen2, F-Reiza, F-Classic, F-USA)
    High performance (e.g. P1-P2, F-Retro, DPi, GT1, Group C)
    Mid-tier performance (e.g. BMW Procar, GT3, GTE, Brazilian Stock Cars, F-Vintage, P3-P4, Group A)
Low-tier performance (e.g. Caterham Academy, Hot Cars, Copa Classic)

I know you asked for club level South American content, but that is not the most well cared for content atm, with tire model upgrades pending for the Hot Cars and the ARC Camaro, which are some of the most interesting classes there. Also, AMS2 does some other cars very well, too.

Depending on what someone is after, all classes provide wildly differing driving experiences - and then there's the aspect that some of these are modern and some of these are rather historic. Someone like GPLaps might not be interested in the modern cars at all, and vice versa. That's why I'm going to provide two options for each class.

So, depending on the person, I'd recommend (DLC not included because you don't ask anyone to buy DLC if he's new to the game):

    High-end performance:
    F-Ultimate Gen2/Imola
    F-Classic Gen2M2/Adelaide 1988

    High performance:
    Mercedes GT1/Bathurst
    F-Retro Gen3/Buenos Aires No. 15

    Mid performance:
    Brazilian Stock Car/Cordobà TC
Mercedes 190 Evo DTM/Santa Cruz do Sol

    Low Performance:
    F-Rookie/Oulton Park International
    Puma GTE/Cascavel

Hell yeah. The porker is a great car.
My personal favourite lately has been the new Cordoba Circuit and the P2 and P3.
Also love the Roco P3 at Road America.
And as for Hokenheim, try the prev gen F1 car there, absolutely INSANE performance.
