Pure 360hz gives me less FPS vs Pure 180hz. Why?

    I am using a Bodnar V2 SimSteering. If I select Pure 360hz the FPS go down to less than 100fps. If I select Pure 180hz the FPS goes to 120+fps. Why is this happening? I want to use Pure 360hz without taking a hit in FPS. Nothing in the online manual explains why this is happening.

    My computer specs: i7 6700K, GTX 980ti, 16GB RAM, SSD, Windows 10 64bit.
