I am wondering if there is any option to have a push to talk button ingame? Was looking for it in the game menu (controls/audio) but could not find it.
Use Discord in background to talk with some friends if that's what you want it. I use it sometimes. I don't think everybody wants to hear people talking while a race.
yeah, just wanted to talk with some friends without using discord or team speak, but there is no option ingame right now. just wanted to now.
i have been playing motorsports simulators (and driven race cars in real life) since times when most of today's players weren't even born. but i just wanted to know if i had overseen some option ingame, not a big thing.
The push to talk feature works well in games as Dirt Rally where maximum of players is 8, but for a game with grids up to 30 players and without channels for each group of players it will be a mess of voices as any voice channel usually is. Having something like discord or teamspeak, I don't think that devs whould take precious time develomping a feature like that.
i mean, the idea is great, id love to yell in the mic if someone pushes me out. which at the same time is prolly the reason why they wont implement it
many people talk about stewart, rindt, hill sen., ickx and their opponents. i have seen them driving a grand prix live when i was a young boy. so, i guess that i am rather one of the grandpas out there in the world of simracing.
Just to give you a little bit more insight, in the 1970’s I spent many, many weekends at the Nordschleife. My father was responsible for setting up two-way radio communication around the Nordschleife for the Racing Stewards. I often went with him and of course we had access to all areas of the Nordschleife during the events. That also was the time when I experienced for the first time a 24 Hour race on the Nordschleife. It was the most exciting thing I ever experienced.
i am not the one trying to see whos seen cooler things in life on a platform with barely any active ppl
You were standing at the spot where he crashed? Otherwise no way you could have seen it because of missing videowalls and cameras on long tracks in those times. The well known material of Lauda's accident was filmed by an amateur who stood there and later that day sold it to the TV broadcasters. Was watching this race on TV and they did not catch the incident live but just showed this material in the evening.
but back to business: just wanted to know if i am too blind to see this option as it exists in other sims, also in AMS 1. glad to hear that it has nothing to do with my eyes. no need to offend anyone, thx for your answers.
