So, EA Games/Codemasters bought the rights for the next WRC games.
My question is: did they bought the rights only to publish (develop?) future games or did they buy the whole WRC catalogue, as they did with the Codemasters titles?

I ask this because I really enjoyed F1 2019: Senna x Prost and F1 2020: Schumacher edition. Sadly I can't buy F1 2019 anymore 'cause EA has taken it down (as they also did to the PCARS franchise and many others). Now there's only the F1 2020 still available. On full price since October 2021. And I bet they're only waiting for the license agreement to end to take this game down as well.
WRC 4 was made by Milestone and WRC 5 onwards was developed by Kylotonn Studios. I fear that these games might be at risk too because EA Games.

WRC 23 or DiRT Rally 3.0? Who cares? It's Coming in Spring, Maybe!

Licenses expire and games get delisted but you can probably still score a key on cdkeys or similar sites. You just can't buy it new from Steam directly.

At least I'm pretty sure that's how that works.
