When driving the hypercars (Cadillac, BMW, Porsche) in the bottom right corner under the round speedo is what looks to be an energy recovery system. I've managed to map it to a rotary encoder on my wheel so i can change it from four arrows to one and so on. But I can't work out what it is or how i use it. I assume it is some sort of DRS??
    Thanks

The ERS in them currently work as they add power, but they will be more realistic from V1.6. That mean that they will make it so it tries to have peak power for the whole RPM range. Higher means more usage and better fuel economy

Ok thanks for that. No need to try and use it then, it just happens. I look forward to v1.6.

So this is how it works currently:
No arrows = off (no deployment)
one arrow = build mode (little deployment and focus on recouperation)
two arrows = balanced (Tries to deploy and recoup around the same amount around a lap)
three arrows = Attack (meant for overtaking, delivers peak energy.
four arrows - quali mode (calibrated to last around one full hotlap with as much deployment as possible.

So if you want to maximise your laptime and overtakes, its highly adviseable to use it accordingly, at least until 1.6

It works the same for the formula ultimates.
