Just recently began using a VR headset (bigscreen beyond with steamVR tracking) and have been experiencing a consistent hang whenever I start a race. Everything is working perfectly within the menus etc but once I hit start race the screen will change to the starting race with the progress bar at the top and it will simply hang at this point - the progress bar never begins turning red and the app no longer seems to respond and I end up having to go to steam and force stop the app. This is happening most of the time in VR but occasionally it will start, the red progress bar will move across the top and it works perfectly. If I don’t start ams2 in vr mode it never has this issue. Any thoughts on what might cause this or diagnostic steps that might help uncover what’s going on with this would be super helpful.
There's a new setting in Performance Settings to keep the window from pausing when losing focus. Try setting that to On. You may be losing window focus and so the game is just pausing.
Indeed this is it., now another issue I have using SteamLink: the menu (for instance the first page where you select Race, Event and so on, this page is very blurry. I don't have this issue using Virtual Desktop. And I have exactly the same issue with Raceroom and the menus, very, very blurry... So at the moment, back to Virtual Desktop.
