    racecraft.online Season 4 is finally here!! :D

RCO Season 4 officially launches today, and with it come a whole host of changes and new additions to racecraft.online! You may (or may not :p) have seen our teasers these past few days, so here are the full details on what you can expect from the new season!

    --- Multiclass!!

Our flagship new addition, multiclass racing is now officially supported on racecraft.online! We have reworked major parts of our schedule to take full advantage of it, with entire series now running multiclass races!

One of the major changes is our hourly Pro Series, which is now a 30 minute, Silver + Gold GT + Prototype (GT3 / GTE + LMDh / DPi / P1) race, inspired by the IMSA, WEC and Imperio Endurance calendars. Since we know IMSA and 1.6 is on everyone’s minds at the moment, this week we’ll be running GT3 + LMDh @ Daytona!

And of course, we can’t forget about the crown jewel of RCO multiclass, the Endurance Cup! The Endurance Cup will run a variety of 70-ish minute races at differing license levels, ranging from Platinum to Bronze and everything in-between - all depending on the difficulty of the classes and the track. Future events to look forward to include Super V8 + SCB 2022 @ Bathurst (Platinum/Gold), GT Classic + Vintage TC1 @ Laguna Seca (Gold/Silver), some staple WEC/IMSA races (Spa 24h, Daytona 24h, VLN24h) and much more!

This week, to showcase multiclass to its fullest extent, the Endurance Cup will be running a 4-class multiclass race: P1 + P2 + P3 + P4 @ Interlagos (Platinum / Gold / Silver / Bronze)! If you’re new to RCO, don’t worry - it should only take 5 quick Rookie races to get to Bronze. ;) And that should be even easier than before because of the…

    --- New schedule!!

The overall format and schedule of RCO races has been rebuilt from the ground up, with the aim to make progression more linear and have more exciting options at higher licenses! One of the most notable changes is our hourly races being more frequent the lower the license requirement - Rookie races are now every half hour and Bronze every hour, with Silver and above being every 3 hours.

Rookie Hourlies remain mostly changed, but Bronze now runs a single, main Hourly series - the Advanced Series, featuring a GT4 + P4 format! This builds up nicely into Silver and Gold with the abovementioned Pro Series (GT3 + Prototype). Green Hell is now also multiclass, featuring a Rookie class alongside the usual Bronze.

Another major change is the removal of the Clean Lap Challenge (CLC)! It will no longer serve as a barrier to entry, allowing you to get racing quicker!

    --- More historic!!

We realise historic content is one of AMS2’s strong suits, and we decided to lean into it further for this season! Our dedicated Historic series has been rebuilt with a focus on historically accurate class & track combos. Using tin tops and prototypes, Historic makes full use of our new, adaptable license requirements: a series’ license level may change depending on the class being run! Group A may only need a Bronze license, but something more difficult like Group C would require a Silver one!

But don’t worry, historic Formulas haven’t gone anywhere! They now have a new home in our Premier Cup, featuring the F-HiTech Gen2 and the F-Retro Gen3 (alongside the F-USA 2023). In addition, we’ve sprinkled additional historic content in other series like the rocketeer Cup, the Endurance Cup and Green Hell! And to kick off Historic strongly, this week’s combo will be F-Vintage Gen2 @ Spa!

We hope you’re as excited as we are for this new season - with multiclass, the new schedule and all the historic content, we are undoubtedly going to have lots of fun and memorable races! If you’re new to RCO, don’t worry - joining is absolutely free, and we’d be more than happy to have you with us! :D

Hope to see you on track!

Today marks the beginning of RCO Season 4's 2nd week, and what a thrill last week was! :D

    Some highlights from last week:
    • Our Club Racing and Advanced Series have seen lots of attention, with 12+ driver races at peak hours almost every day! We've received lots of comments about how nice the P4's are to drive, and thank you to our resident driver TOCA2FREAK for recording one of these intense Club Racing sessions!
    • The Pro Series saw some fierce multiclass racing between GT and Prototypes with several double digit races (thank you CRSPE for showcasing one of these races!), and while our Historic has been less populated, our drivers say some fun races were had! ;)
    • Our largest Green Hell race saw 20 drivers battling along the Nordschleife, and our biggest Endurance Cup race had 21 drivers tackling the 24h of Interlagos. Those are huge numbers, and I want to thank everyone who participated in our Weekly races!! :)
    • We've also managed to reach 400 weekly active drivers last week, and we're on our way to surpass 500 this week!
    As for next week:
    • The Advanced Series is moving to Donington, featuring the Ginetta Supercup instead of the usual GT4.
    • The Pro Series is moving to Long Beach for a fully-themed IMSA week, using the iconic GTE + DPi classes!
    • Historic is running GT Classics @ Laguna Seca and only has a requirement of Bronze this week...
    • ... with the iconic GT Classics also present in this week's Green Hell, running alongside the Vintage TC1 for some intense racing at the 1971 Nordschleife!
    • And lastly but most certainly not least, this week's Endurance is going to be a triple-class VLN 24h-inspired race at the Nurburgring 24h layout, running GT3 + GT4 + GT5.
Thank you to each and everyone of you who has raced last week both in our Hourly and Weekly series! We can't express how much it means to us seeing you all have fun races on RCO. Here's to another week of exciting racing, hope to see you on track! :D

We've had some great races so far this week and thank you everyone who participated! :D

The Pro Series has been the star of the show, with many double digit races seeing drivers fighting not only between themselves, but also against the track itself. Few drivers came out unscathed by the end of the 30 minutes, and multiclass racing was in full effect with the DPi's performing many tricky passes next to GTE's!

The Advanced Series and Green Hell have also had some big races, with Donington providing some very close racing for the P4's, and some fierce battling happening at the old Nordschleife between the Germans and Americans - we even got reports of cars flying!

    Automobilista_2_Image_7-8-2024_10-04-55_PM-782-min.png

There's still a Green Hell race left today if you're itching for some classic car action!

Additionally, this coming weekend be sure to sign up for Saturday's VLN-inspired, 24h of Nurburgring multiclass Endurance Cup race. And on Sunday, we'll be racing everyone's favourite Brazilian ****boxes around Cascavel in the rocketeeer Cup! :D

Slightly late with this week's post, but RCO's 3rd week has started and is well underway!

    Here's last week's rundown:
    • The Pro Series was arguably the star of the show, seeing an average of 7-8 drivers per race at peak hours across the whole week, with our biggest and most exciting races reaching 16-17 people!! It's safe to say that few people managed to finish with their cars unscathed :D Some very tough battles were had, and many of our drivers praised how thrilling the GTE + DPi combo was.
    • The Advanced Series also saw some fairly good racing! Although on average it had fewer drivers than the Pro Series (5-7), our biggest races almost managed to reach those numbers, coming in at 14-15 drivers! Donington proved to be a nice track for the P4's.
    • Our weekly series had some awesome participation! :D Green Hell again had its biggest race at 20 drivers - each race was a true Battle of the Eagles between the American Vettes and the German Porsches. Thank you again to TOCA2FREAK for filming one of these races! The Endurance Cup also saw some fairly big races, with 16/17 drivers battling in GT cars along the Nordschleife!

As for what's on this week:
    • Club Racing is switching from the Mini JCW's to the Cats Supersports, with a thematic British combo this week running at Brands Hatch Indy!
    • F-Rookie is also moving to the ever-so-popular Spielberg Short, for its last week before it switches to the Formula Trainer for 3 weeks!
    • The F-3 Cup is running at Monza this week for the quintessential Formula experience!
    • The Pro Series is back to the WEC-style GT3 + LMDh this week and moving to Suzuka (Kansai).
    • The Premier Cup will be running its last week of F-USA 2023 @ Watkins Glen, before switching to the Formula Retro Gen3's for 3 weeks for some Historic Formula championships!
    • Be sure to join this Saturday's Endurance Cup, as we will be running the 24h of Daytona using DPi + GTE - it will also be one of the rarer chances to run a Platinum-level race!

Once again thank you to everyone of you who's raced with us this last week! We hope you've had fun, and can't wait to see you on track this week as well! :)

Today marks the beginning of RCO Week 4, and you know what that means - time for the weekly RCO update post!

    New things!
One of the biggest changes you'll immediately notice when visiting our site is the addition of Trending Races to the RCO website! The main page UI has been overhauled - "hot" race timeslots are now the main suggestions, based on the timeslot's popularity during the previous week. These suggestions are dynamic, and a timeslot may appear or disappear from the trending tab based on its performance in a particular week. But don't worry, the Hourlies and Weeklies haven't gone anywhere! Scroll a bit further down, and you'll see both event types now have their home on the main page - no more separate tabs and forgetting about Weeklies! :)

    Last week's rundown
    • This week, the Weeklies took the spotlight! Sunday's rocketeer Cup proved immensely popular in the EU timezone, managing to reach almost 20 (19) concurrent drivers!! Thank you to everyone who participated and we hope you've had fun! And thanks again to TOCA2FREAK for covering the claustrophobic racing at Salvador Street Circuit in the Minis! Our Endurance Cup and Green Hell also had double digit races, with close racing at both Daytona and the ever-present Nurburgring.
    • On the Hourlies side, this week's F-Rookie proved very popular - slow Formulas @ Spielberg are an RCO staple, and we're happy to see the combo is as hot as ever :D The Pro Series and Advanced Series also saw some good races
    • While not exactly hot bread, we've seen positive comments about this week's sunset Historic race. We're glad you've enjoyed the gorgeous Golden Hour at Kyalami, and thank you to our long-time driver Alexander Sene who shared some beuatiful screenshots from one of his races on our Discord! :p

    What's new this week:
    • F-Rookie has officially switched to the Formula Trainer for the next 3 weeks, with its inaugural race being held at Oulton Park!
    • The Advanced Series is hosting the first-evernight race (this Season ) at the Fontana Autoclub Speedway!
    • Historic is bringing some proper BTCC vibes this week, running the Group A @ Brands Hatch!
    • Both Green Hell and the Endurance Cup are channeling British grassroots racing for some Ginetta vs Ginetta multiclass action in both series!
    • And last but certainly not least, our Premier cup is switching to an authentic historic Formula format, running Formula Retro Gen 3's @ Cascais 1988! We've already had 6 sign-ups even before we got around to making this post. If you're a historic Formula 1 fan - now's your time to shine! :D

As always, thank you to everyone who's raced with us, and can't wait to see you on track this week as well!

A big thank you to everyone who joined last night's Green Hell race and helped smash our old record! 41 people registered leading to a double split!

Another Monday, another new set of RCO combos!

    Last Week's Rundown
    • Last week we absolutely smashed our biggest race record this Season!! :D 41 people (!!!) registered for last Tuesday's EU-evening Green Hell race, leading to two splits of 26 and 15 drivers respectively. Green Hell in general did very well this week, seeing double digit races in the other timeslots as well - in total we had 86 registrations across 6 races!! We want to extend a warm and deep thank you to everyone who registered for Green Hell last week. We can't express how happy we are to see you all racing with us! :)
    • The Endurance Cup and Rocketeer Cup also saw good activity this week. Drivers especially praised the Rocketeer combo of Sprint Race @ Watkins Glen Short, with loads of wheel-to-wheel fierce battles occurring. You can watch an intense struggle for 1st place from TOCA2FREAK's perspective from last night's race.

    What's New This Week:
    • Club Racing has switched to the ever-popular Ginetta G40's with an inaugural combo at the British Little Green Hell, Cadwell Park.
    • The F3 Cup is back at Montreal for some proper F1 vibes, which was one of the most popular F3 combos last season!
    • Historic is bumping up in difficulty this week, running GT1's @ Barcelona Historic. F1? CLK? R390? 911? Pick your poison...
    • You're in for some fun times for this week's Rocketeer Cup, running the Copa Classic B @ Betonschleife! Get ready for some real door-banging racing!
    • The Premier Cup is continuing its retro Formula format, running the Retro Gen 3's @ Spielberg '77.
    • The star of the show this week is bound to be the Endurance Cup, hosting another Platinum-level race for a chance to promote to Alien! In homage to the glory days of the WEC (and motorsports in general), we are running a 24h race of Group C + Procar M1 + Group A @ Hockenheim '77!

Once again thank you to everyone who's racing with us - let's keep these amazing numbers up this week as well! :D

A new monday, a new week on racecraft.online, and a new set of combos to share with all of you!

    Last Week's Rundown
    • The Hourlies have seen their fair share of racing, with Club Racing, the Advanced Series and the Pro Series seeing some decent grinds now and then.
    • Once again the Weeklies have been doing very well! Participation was high for last week's Green Hell on both days, reaching a full 26-player lobby on Tuesday! The Premier Cup also got some love with a 6-player race - it may not seem much by itself, but compared to last season when it was regularly empty, we are very happy to see people dipping their toes into some of the more niches Series! :)
    • The rocketeer Cup was arguably the star of the show! A combo that gave rise to very close and tense (but nevertheless respectful) racing, the Betonschleife paired very well with the Copa Classic B, managing to reach a full grid on Sunday EU evening! Thank you to Eleboons for streaming his race on Twitch - to Zingy for once again showcasing a more cinematic perspective of his race - and to MateOnFire for his amazing pictures! Thank you everyone who joined us for the rocketeer Cup, and we're incredibly happy to hear you've had some fun racing! :D
    ss215700.jpg

    What's New This Week:
    • F-Rookie is coming to an ever-popular track here at RCO, with this week's F-Trainer @ Guapore combo!
    • Both the Advanced and Pro Series are moving back to Europe at Spa (Adv.) and Imola (Pro) respectively.
    • Stock car lovers are going to love this week's Historic combo, which sees the Omega Stock Car '99 @ Oulton Park Classic. Old Brazilian stock cars meet British touring cars!
    • Green Hell is readying up for a "petit VLN" race, featuring GT4 + GT5.
    • And last but not least, get ready for same late night racing in the rocketeer Cup, running the G40 Cup @ Long Beach - with the race starting at 21:00 in-game time!

As always a big thank you to everyone racing with us, and hope to see you on track!

Thank you all for an amazing Endurance Cup race last night! It may not have been the most outlandish combo :p but we managed to get a full 26-player grid! Lots of long, close battles were had (courtesy of the BoP nature of the GT3's and GT4's), and Kyalami proved gorgeous with the time transitions.

Here are some highlights, courtesy of MateOnFire!

A day late, but here is the weekly RCO update!

    Last Week's Rundown
    • The Weeklies are doing better than ever! Green Hell has seen two full grid races this week - and let's just say they certainly weren't boring.. The GT4's proved to be quite a handful on the twisty and hilly roads of the Nordschleife and only a select few managed to finish unscathed. Despite this, racing was kept respectful, albeit intense!
    • The Endurance Cup has seen one of its best weeks, managing to also get an entire grid of people! 26 GT3's and GT4's battled for position at Kyalami, and some long and drawn out battles were had!
    • The rocketeer Cup once again stole the show! :D Almost 40 people signed up for this week's race, leading to two splits! The G40's @ Long Beach combo was intense and full of excitement, and there was as much racing between drivers as there was between drivers and the track itself - in the slow Ginettas, keeping your momentum up and maximising your speed was key to success!
    ss215533.jpg

    What's New This Week:

    • Club Racing is back to Mini's and running them through the tight streets of Adelaide for some intense racing! Additionally, F-Rookie is now also back to F-Inters.
    • The F3 Cup is back at one of its most popular tracks, Cascais Alternate!
    • Get ready for some real IMSA vibes with the Pro Series, which is running the GTE + DPi @ Laguna Seca!
    • Green Hell is going back to its roots and featuring the legendary Group A (alongside the Vintage TC1).
    • The Endurance Cup will be a real test of one's skill this week. Based on the infamous Bathurst 1000, this week's combo will see Super V8's and the SCB 2024 tackling Bathurst.

Thank you everyone for consistently racing with us, especially in our Weeklies! We can't express how happy it makes us all to see so many full grid races, and so many drivers enjoying their time on RCO. Thank you! :):D

Seeing the sun rise in, well, sunrise corner on kyalami felt very special and was an amazing experience. There was also a lot of respectful racing in long beach, nose to tail, loved it.

Im new in the service, great experience. Hopefully hourlies will get more activity after the holiday seasson.
Not a fan of current pick of tracks for F-Inter (Monza and Londrina), it is a slow car and long straights are so boring. I think twisty short tracks like Curvelo short, Velo Cita short, of course Brands Hatch indy are more suitable for the Inter. Maybe it was bad luck.
