Recommendations for starters in ASM2 simulation.

Hi, I have little experience with simulators like ASM2. I have the vanilla version with some mods. I would like to learn how to drive properly. Could you give me some advice in general? Any cars and tracks to practice? Any youtube channel to learn how to drive?

 

Practice makes perfect, but is there anything specific you want to learn?

 

I would like to know your opinion about the best car to start with and a track that helps you learn how to drive properly. I also would like to know if there is a nettiquete when playing online. I know some people act weird when online.

I think the Formula Trainer on Cascavel is a good starting point.

TIP Do not start your sim career by joining multiplayer races, especially when the ranking system is turned on, you will piss off many people and most likely have a poor experience and results.

Perform many time trials with the slow and fast "ghosts" users to see where you fall short, learn the lines, learn their setups. Then compete against AI, graduate to online racing with no ranking, then go for ranking.

 

The slower, the better for beginners

learn and understand racing line, do not overpush, and later on try to be consistent in lap times.
and like u will read there, as a beginner forget about setups. The defaults are on the “save side” anyways, so ur fine with default setup. Setups help when u are fast anyway.
