Hi everyone, I wanted to share an idea: Regularity Racing in Automobilista 2. Winning isn’t about speed, but keeping the exact average time on each stage. Competitions use a roadbook and checkpoints, where you have to hit a small marker (“gomita”) for the checkpoint to count, and penalties apply if you arrive early or late. This would make it more realistic. Perfect for classic or historic cars, but also works with modern vehicles. Could be added directly in Career Mode as a new type of event. It could even be tested using existing tracks and cars, especially the longer circuits, as a trial to see if players enjoy this precision-based mode before fully implementing it. Famous real-life events Silvretta Classic (Austria) Oldtimer Supercup (Europe) Rally Clásico Isla Mallorca (Spain) Ypres Historic Regularity (Belgium) FIA Trophy Historic Regularity Extra idea: in addition to traditional rallies, urban circuits in real cities could be added, for regularity challenges on familiar streets, combining precision and city scenery. What do you think? Would you try this in Automobilista 2?
I'm keen for any kind of additional driving activity which isn't strictly racing. I'm hoping things like this get a look in for career mode. Sounds like a fun way of driving
