Hello Racers, is it possible to rename a track? I have to tracks ,wich are listed as "06 Pukeho" or 07 MT.Tremblon". I there a easy way to do this...?? Thanx DC
Yes - edit the .gdb file and change the VenueName. You can name them what you like, but I start all of mine with a zero so they are all grouped at the top of the track list in Automobilista. The group of mods will still be in alphabetical order Here's an example for Bathurst: Bathurst2010MAX { Filter Properties = StockV8 * Attrition = 30 TrackName = Bathurst Mount Panorama GrandPrixName = Bathurst 2010 - MAX Detail EventName = Bathurst 2010 - MAX Detail VenueName = 0 Bathurst Mount Panorama Location = Bathurst, Australia Length = 6.21 km / 3.86 miles TrackType = Temporary Road Course Track Record = 2:01.567 Shane Van Gisbergen, McLaren 650S GT3, 2016 TerrainDataFile = ..\BathurstAMS.tdf Max Vehicles = 50 ***** IMPORTANT - Playing online - please see post #4 by Periophtalmus Spintirus *****
I also change the name of the mod track's folder in Locations to capital letters. Example Bathurst to BATHURST This does not affect the track name in Automobilista, but I find it easier to quickly see all of the mods in the Locations folder. ***** Do not change the spelling of the folder name *****
But think, you won't be able to play these tracks online any more....eccept you share "your" version with friends you want to play with. ;-) But BTW, i am re-organizing my mod tracks too. Especially because i love to compare the layouts of a track from different years and don't want to search them all over the place....
I don't get it! For example "06_Pukekohe_Park" .Please help.. What must i change to have MAINFOLDER=Pukekohe Park and not 06_Pukekohe_Park. Subfolder = Pukekohe Park I upload the gdb file, maybe can put it right for me as an example. In the mainfolder are files beginning all with 06_Pukekohe_Park. What must change? All files renaming to "Pukekohe Park" instead of 06_Pukekohe_Park?And the folders too? I'm too stupid... DC
You need to edit the track's .scn file. Here's part of the .scn file for the Bathurst Max Detail track: //------------------------------------------------------- SearchPath=. SearchPath=Bathurst\ SearchPath=Bathurst\Bathurst2010MAX SearchPath=ReizaCommon //------------------------------------------------------- Red - name of the main folder Green - name of subfolder I don't think the folder names can have spaces, so your could have this: //------------------------------------------------------- SearchPath=. SearchPath=Pukekohe_Park\ SearchPath=Pukekohe_Park\Pukekohe_Park SearchPath=ReizaCommon //------------------------------------------------------- Your folders should also be Pukekohe_Park The folder names could have capital letters - PUKEKOHE_PARK (SEE POST #3)
