    Hello,
    I am on a RTX4080, i13900 and I use openXR with toolkit.

I struggle to get constant 90fps with a resolution overide by openXR toolkit of 2900 x 2900 or so. I can not go over 3000 at daytime during an online race.
In AMS2 options, I run texture and msaa on 'mids'. When I use 'high' I only lose some FPS, but anyway I want and like also a high resolution with stable 90fps to see and read as early as possible corner signs and other hints for brake points.
Other options in AMS2 are set to high except particles and shadows (low).

In openXR I do not use FSR or so but only CAS in order to sharpen the image.

I am looking for tips and clues how to setup the game and openXR (I use a HP reverb gen2).

    thank you!

I run the Reverb G2 but a 4090, I run textures to high but MSAA to low, car and track detail ultra and reflections to medium, partials high and grass and enhanced mirror off. I run 3400x33xx in OpenXR. Textures high should be fine on the 4080 as it's really a vram thing.
I also us MFAA on and prefer performance in NVCP.
I didn't notice a big difference going to medium or high MSAA in game other than a big performance hit. I played around between this setting quite a bit and settled on low but higher resolution using OpenXR.
With these settings I can do night, day and rain but can't combine rain amd night with 30 cars and solid 90 fps.
If we can limit headlights with a future setting or Reiza optimise headlights hopefully night rain will be possible on cutrent hardware.
My 13600k is coping with this just fine.
    Good luck mate.

Reverb G2 user here also - I got a quick question, if you don't mind answering.

At the end of the day, how should I run AMS2 - through SteamVR or OpenXR?

I'm currently running through SteamVR but get some performance issues, especially in cloudy weather. Wondering whether OpenXR could help. o_O

I've never run using Steam VR, OpenXR from day 1. Tried Steam VR for R3E but never had success at all, just crashes.

Are you using CAS in OpenXR, too?

I use it to boost the resolution to 3400x33xx plus I've played a little with foviated rendering. Plus I think OpenXR uses less resources than SteamVR just as is. And I get the OSD.

I switch between them (by renaming the vr dll) on daily basis. Both run fine for me on 100% rendering scale but OpenXR gives me more headroom for my "gimmicks" (helmet cam overlay etc) .
Settings wise I don't upscale or sharpen, only "Turbo mode". Also, no foveated rendering etc (I personally think foveated rendering with freshnell lenses is useless)
I use SteamVR when I need the easy detailed logging from fpsVR tbh ...
