What if we had RPG-like AI skill progression based on race results? If desired, this could be applied after every race throughout a season and at the end of the season the averages could be used as the starting point for the next season's values. We currently have custom AI files but what we now need is a custom championship file that can be linked to custom AI files on a per-round basis. Once that's in place, it could be possible to download a championship and have it include custom AI settings, liveries, helmets and drivers. The reason for per-round custom AI is for re-creating historical seasons (so you could have it pre-configured or dynamically changing based on results). Of course, we would also need a post-race assessment that provides a score for each custom AI field. Just imagine the possibilities... You could even be rated yourself to create yourself as an AI character lol.
So basically something similar to the adaptive AI in Raceroom? I guess it's only worth it once the AI is largely "finished" in all classes.
