I have tried to get Automobilista 2 working since I bought it a month ago. I have a Saitek Joystick and a Saitek Rudder control. I would like to use the joystick to turn left and right, and use the toe pedals to be accelerator and brakes. I could use other buttons for gearing up/down, clutch, etc. I have read lots and lots of articles and forum discussions about setting up controllers, but I cant seem to get mine to be responsive at all. I just crash into the 1st wall after exiting the garage. Is there a video that shows how to set up a joystick to have left and right movements mapped to left and right steering? Any videos that might show this in great detail? I did manage a few laps around the track yesterday by using the 4 arrow key buttons on my keyboard. But, this is really awful, and I still crashed, after not pushing the brake arrow. I'm using a Vive Pro 2 headset. It's hard to see which key you are hitting with the headset on. So, the keypad is really unusable. I also have the Steam Index controllers. I have not been able to set them up at all, either. The thumbsticks should be OK for pedals and steering (both controllers being used). I haven't tried hitting the "Home" key for 3 seconds. Is this is the problem to get the joystick recognized in the controller setup? Maybe Saitek is not supported at all? Maybe I need a "true" steering wheel controller?
