Hey guys, Since the 1.0 release I have started a new profile etc. using same settings as before but now I get lock ups once in awhile where while I'm driving the screen freezes for a couple seconds, then starts again by that time I usually crash into a barrier. Weird I've never had this issue before. I tried even turning settings down which I've never had to do but figured I'd try it and it still does it. I never know when it's gonna happen it's just all of the sudden. Anyone experienced this? My system... I5 4690k MSI GTX 970 8 Gigs ram Windows 10 Pro (No anniversary update) Nvidia drivers 372.70 TM T300RS wheel with Thrustmaster T3PA Pro pedals
Norton Internet Security used to cause stutters after a few laps. Setting it to "Silent Mode" cured the problem. Perhaps you should check your anti-virus software. Good luck.☺
No idea if it's the same thing but I used to get occasional problems with freezes for 7-8 seconds and it then unfreezes with your car in the same spot but the laptime having advanced. Haven't had that problem for a few months though. Maybe first verify your game cache in Steam and if that doesn't work I would just delete and reinstall AMS to see if that makes a difference. We have very similar set-ups so you should be able to get it working okay.
Thnx guys!, I did reinstall and still doing it and I don't have Norton or anything. Still working on it but I'll post if I figure it out. Yeah Kevin we do have similar setups although I see you have the 599XX Rim!!! haha I wanna get that!
I also had a 7 - 8 seconds freeze and then the game returned to work flawlessly. Just 1 occurrence in 4 hours gaming. GTX 980 + i7 4790K.
I turned off the track map last night and it stopped happening although once in awhile when exiting the cockpit back to the menu my volume jumps to 100% which makes me jump like 10 ft out of my chair. Not sure why that happens, it's only in AMS. At least now I can race for quite a long time without any issues, although like I said that volume spike once and awhile scares the crap out of me.
