Being a big fan of AMS1, I had nearly given up AMS2 after a few attempts to enjoy it months ago since I had way too many issues. With the recent updates I decided to use my vacation to give it another go and test some features.

I am glad I did so.

I would like to share the points that seem more relevant to me so far in terms of the state of things in the sim now.

First some of the main things I saw improved:

    - Car handling is much better. I still think sometimes there are some oddities, with some cars more than others, like the magic grip found by throttling in the exact time.
    - The Custom Grid functionality is spectacular. The ability to set drivers names, skills and choose exact which cars will be racing has been implemented in a way much better and easier than I expected at this point. This made possible to create some really spectacular multi-class grids.
    - The AI is not perfect but it is quite decent now. Multiclass works pretty well.
    - The AI driven Fuscas are now slower than the AI driven TC Classic B :) .

Now, things I think should be addressed soon:

    - The AI pit stop strategy. This kind of break the game sometimes, with the AI pitting unnecessarily and interrupting what seemed to be a good race/battle. If refueling is allowed, the AI tends to pit one or two times more than needed. With the custom grid functionality and other recent improvements, this game asks for great single player endurance races, but this pit stop issue breaks it.
    - The AI overtaking issue. I could workaround this a bit by setting the aggression higher, from 60% to 80-100%. At least this does not seem to turn everything in a bloodshed as I expected, but the AI still misses some very clear overtaking opportunities by giving up at the last minute, which is frustrating.
    - Stuttering. Almost every race, at least once, I get a moment in which the image freezes but the car is still going, I can hear it, but I cannot to see where I am going. Sometimes this ruins the race.
    - Finally, the AI racing could also be a bit more dynamic. In most of the races I did there were few crashes between the AI, nearly no retirements. I bit more of spice would make it more realistic and interesting.

For me these are the issues more likely to break the experience of racing against the AI, whish is still the only way I play AMS2. I focused on this because although I like to race online, I think this works better in other sim, while AMS2 seems for me ideal for a more relaxing experience, choosing exactly what car/track/length of race I want to do.

Hope the guys at Reiza are enjoying the holydays and only find this thread somewhere in January.
