My shifters are assigned properly The only way that I can get my paddle shifter or my stick shifter to work is if I first go to controller menu select auto shift , run one lap. I then exit out and go into controller menu and select shifting off go back to the garage and at that point my shifter which ever I am using at that point works as it should.Once I exit out of race, practice and try to re- enter to practice or race I have to go thru the whole procedure to get shifters to work.
