Hi, I changed my pc and reinstalled AMS2. It's running, but it doesn't work in VR mode like on the previous pc. I have an HP G2 Reverb, my GPU is NVidia 3070 ti (updated with the latest driver), my Windows 10 is 21H2. The virtual reality is working normally with other simulators. When I run by clicking the start option in Steam VR mode it starts normally but on the desktop only and nothing appears on the glasses, except the AMS2 logo with the message "a seguir". When I enter the mixed reality windows and run AMS2 from there it appears the same logo with the same message as if it were going to start but it stays there and doesn't run in VR but on the desktop. can you help me?
Open steam list of your games click on ams2 click on play then click on ams2 steam vr .The normal version and oculus version will be there too.

Good try, but it did not work.. Still not running in VR. Iam affaid it might an incompatigility with the 3070 ti cpu.
try deleting openvrsettings.xml and graphicsconfigopenvrdx11.xml in documents\automobilista 2 Maybe this files are corrupt
Nope. Still not working. It happened as I changed my pc and GPU. Although it seams unlikely, maybe there is some update in AMS2 to work with the new GPU. Or a driver version from Nvidia. I do not know, but I need to fix this. I love AMS2.
another question. Did you install AMS2 new or did you just use a disc from old PC and reinstalled steam to have all back w/o downloading again. I did that some weeks ago and then had problems with user rights and not accessable files. i selected the whole steam folder and reassigned security and ownership to get over that
I used the old disk but I re-installed everything, including AMS2 and Steam. Only the documents were preserved. And after that, I tried to uninstall and re installed AMS@, Steam VR and Mixed reality.
Solved! The problem was a conflict with the user name in windows10. I do not know why but you can not use special caracters in your windows user name. I changed it avoiding special caracters and even avoiding using spaces and it worked. AMS2 is running on steam VR now. Many thanks Wolfgang for your time. Thanks a lot, after an evening trying everything but this, it fixed my problem to launch AMS2 in a new pc. Username had a "í" and video tutorial fixed it. Thanks again.
