Hi, I've been away for over a month and when I reopened the game, I noticed one positive and one negative thing. I don't know if it's just my impression, but in VR the game now seems much sharper, which is nice. Multiplayer, on the other hand, has the same problems it had after the patch at the beginning of August, when it became very slow. Yesterday I played in a room in SPA with GT3s (the server wasn't mine this time) and there were 20 cars and the game often stuttered, to the point of stopping several times. (no problem in single player with 26 cars and even more). Has the slowness of multiplayer introduced in one of the latest patches not been resolved? Are you still experiencing this problem? For me, it was very annoying and unplayable.
Is this in a "room" that is set to have ranking turned on? Ranking has never worked right and ranked lobbies should be avoided. It also could be an issue with the host since AMS2 is P2P.
First things I would check are: Is UDP off in the settings? Its below 'Shared memory' Set Crew detail in Graphics to player only or off. 'All' do stutter for some users.
Unfortunately, it happened exactly after a patch (not the August ones) and many people are complaining about this but they don't mention it in the forum here. I don't remember the rating, on my servers (dedicated servers) the rating has always been on and suddenly after that patch the problems started. I haven't tried with the UDP ports, I'll try but I repeat, they're not drops in FPS, they're real continuous freezes. If I remember correctly, it happens very noticeably in spa and on some other tracks maybe less so, in single player you can even play in 32 and everything is very smooth. It all happened after the patch, I still remember that on another forum someone wrote that it seems like this bug seemed like a self-sabotage that will then be fixed in the future. I have to say that sometimes I stop playing because of this problem because it gives me a headache. Anyway, thank you so much for at least answering me.
Oh, I forgot. This only happens during the race. Let's say I run a server with 32 cars and all the cars are out doing a qualifying lap, everything's fine, but then when it comes to the race, the problem happens.
