Spotter ?

There are Spotter settings in the .PLR file
Will there be a "Reiza made" spotter in the future?
Or are those to support third party mods?

 

i use this spotter. maybe its for that.

I gave it a try, but i can't shutdown AMS anymore when i'm using this.
Fun to hear my tires are on temperature after i locked up before a turn
and he didn't tell me i was overtaken
I think i can live without a spotter.

 

Rename vr.exe in automobilista/spotteraddon/vr component. It's speech recognition component and stays running preventing AMS to shut down completely.

 

What name should it have?

 

I,ve renamed it to VR.exe_bckp

 

so it isn't recognized as an executable, thanks

I remember @keith windsor managed to make the spotter really chatty in SCE, even in races. Have you managed to do so in AMS aswell? And if yes, care to share your settings/files?

 

Unfortunately I stopped using it for now, as it no longer works fully. It will still function I believe, but it now has one or two problems in later versions of SCE/AMS. It's discussed here: DynHUD source code and plugin SDK?
Don't let me put you off though, it may well still work ok, but I was disappointed with the faulty yellow flags and the now missing recap of my sector times as I do the outlap.

But the good news is it seems that gongo is hoping to write a new one.
