Let's face it, there's heaps of help in the wet, isn't there? Even with everything off I'm able to drift a Champcar in the wet on slick tyres and get away with it.. I mean, if Lando can't do then I sure can't!
You probably shouldn't even be able to drive in a straight line even in 3rd or 4th gear, right?

I love these cars and I love the wet conditions in general, but this is pushing it in terms of believability IMO.

There are no driving aids in the wet, when driving aids are off.
Then you probably have found an issue with the tire itself (some slicks showed over-effectiveness in the wet before). This has nothing to do with "help".

    EDIT:

Was it continuing over several laps? (Also live track likes to "rain in" the track over time even on the wet preset)

Perhaps its an inertia issue? Tyres I know are under scrutiny right now and will be adjusted where appropriate, and drive trains on some cars are yet to be resolved as per another thread so there's still wrinkles for sure that need to be resurfaced. Once grip is lost it does seem to come back quite easily. Funny story- I saw an Audi (it had to be) spin and do a graceful 180 on the motorway a while ago in a heavy downpour. It was in three lanes of heavy bumper to bumper traffic and I still cant understand how he didnt collect anyone, including me. I know it was a him because I was facing him as he slid sideways past the front of my car. One of those priceless comedy moments as we made eye contact. His back end performed an admirable lazy loop until it came to rest on the hard shoulder. Probably stuck there for a few hours as nowhere to turn around :D I bet he wished it was as easy to recover a spin as in driving simulators ;) I do find myself thinking quite often that if its as easy as we find it in AMS2 then there's an awful lot of untapped racing talent out there in the world.. I dont mind too much because it makes me feel like a driving god, but Ive done skidpan training although so long ago my memory is fuzzy. Once a car with unfavourable characteristics goes in low grip conditions, its really quite over. I remember that bit.. The skill comes in not quite getting there. However, this really leads itself into that endless debate about reality versus accessibility. Make it real and its all 'this is really hard, I cant believe its this hard..'
