Steam issue

Hey all, i see a few posts on FB groups that some users having same issue as me, launching from steam is always stuck on "Synchronising cloud" forever, if i set steam to offline it works fine.
no othergame affected.
Anyone know of a fix?

 

I have never seen it either but will look nxt time.

 

We had a problem with steam in a league race on Saturday we all got disconnected.Then it took a few minutes to reconnect to steam .Have you tried running steam as admin ?

 

this is as far as it gets in the log file

looks like this .ghost file is the issue,,

quite dd as i assume this is a time trial ghost, and i dont do time trials? any idea where it lives? searches across my hard drives show no result.


I have not changed anything in steam at all, and no other game affected.

I attempted previous version/ none/ release candidate. still same proboem.

as log "autocloud is already disabled" but i had a look and i cannot find where to disable or renable it anyhow?

 

ok confirm 100% tht file is NOT on my pc anywhere i can find but 100% is stored in steam cloud here

I can manually download it form here but no idea where to store it or how it even got there?

fixed for ONE run, one launch, then problem recurs.

Close steam and all steam processes.
then navigate to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\1234567890\1066890
(where 1234567890 will be your own unique steam user id number)
Delete the file remotecache.vdf
Start Steam, start the game.

But next time you try, problem is back..

 

I have the same issue, it was fine a couple of days ago.

 

I reinstalled and the problem went away.

 

I just gave up for now, ill wait for a few more updates and try the game again later.

 

update. as of today its jsut working.. no fixes tried, it just is. alls well that ends well?
