I was wondering if anyone knows if AMS2 has any Steam launch options that can be used to increase performance like in other games, for instance: -useallavailablecores = This will lets some games use all available processor cores, so more horsepower for better performance. -notexturestreaming = Changes the behavior of texture loading in the game. -sm4 = Switches shader models (doubt this is used in AMS2) I currently use '-showLiveryIDs -USEALLAVAILABLECORES', the liveryID is so I can create my own and I've always used the 'cores' one in all games on Steam. Does anyone know if there are any performance launch options for AMS2 especially for VR (have noticed more stutters in last update).
interested in this too, especially for VR. have you tried vrperfkit, works well for me with both QUEST2 and PICO N3L headsets
I did sorry, it was early in the morning, my brain wasn't in gear. It's been moved now to the correct one on AMS2 forum instead, thanks. Anyone got any ideas for AMS2 launch options in Steam if there is a thing?
working parameters -selectDS to have full access to dedicated servers -fpscap xx to to assign a fps cap at xx Hz -sportsplay ip: port to access DS with sportsplay enabled
Are you saying that that's an exhaustive list as -showLiveryIDs works as that's what helps me mod the cars.
i'm sure its not part of the latest Stephen King novel / sarcasm off it are also working launch parameters There are more maybe
It's just your initial post came across that you knew that there were JUST those three. Clearly that isn't what you meant as your more recent post you say there could be more, it makes finding out a definitive list of working parameters that could help/ hinder performance more confusing. Someone that makes liveries, have you never used the -showLiveryIDs? But that's getting off topic I guess. Does anyone else know, someone from Reiza would be helpful.
yep. There are definitely more i added just some i use myself w/o searching my old list -showLiveryIDs is documented in the livery override thread. there were more in pCARS2, but some do not work anymore, like -nocrowds e.g.
