Strange request - losing Steam - need to re-purchase

I know this is a strange request but I'm going to toss it out there. My family and I just moved from the US to Romania. Steam isn't liking it. I bought AMS2 on Steam, but I fear that I am losing everything there. (very long story about their tech support that I won't get into here).

The only reason I'm posting here is that I'm willing to eat the entire cost and buy the game all over again, but can I do that without using Steam? Is there another way to buy the game directly?

I found some old Steam codes and I am good to go! Unfortunately, now I have to wait 3 months while my Fanatec wheel arrives by boat to my new country hahah.
