Thought i should open a thread to see if we can get a light and hopefully end the doubts about this topic. All of the main brazilian leagues uses Timed Races (mostly 1 with 50 min or 2 batteries with 25 min) and one thing that makes not only the transmission but the drivers go crazy sometimes is to know exactly if the race is going to finish on the lap that the time ended or not. Sometimes the Game open another lap and sometimes it doesn`t! We have seen plenty of times drivers celebrating and there was another lap to go. Some say that if the leader has crossed the last sector when the time finishes it will open another lap, but we have seen this not happening several times. The other way around as well. So, what`s the criterion for it ?
Yeap, same problem we have in our leauge. It was 1 min till end the race and game show white flag, but when time over, game give us another lap to drive.
This drive everyone crazy, lol! And another really weird behavior we saw happening a couple times: The 2nd and 3rd (and so on) completes the race before the 1st position! This usually happens when there's a great difference between the 1st position and the 2nd (more then 25 sec maybe). The race time finishes right after 1st has crossed the finish line (so he needs to finish this other lap) But since there's a good difference for the 2nd, when the 2nd finishes the lap, he already receive the checkered flag ! First still needs to complete the other lap and can even cause the bizarre situation where he may not complete the race (crash or not fuel enough) but still gets first !
Another issue I have come across with timed races is that when the time reaches 0 the next driver that crosses the line gets the chequered flag even if the leader hasn't finished yet. This then puts that driver a lap down on the leader even if they were on the same lap anyway. Any news on a fix for this too?
