New sibling of the Top 10 locations thread :) this one is a bit different though.

Instead of wishing for new locations, this is about additional layouts for locations that are either in game already, or announced as incoming. No wishes for tracks that have not been officially announced.

It can be one alternative layout for a different location each, or 10 different layouts for one given place. It can be historical recreations, RX layouts, off-road variations, etc. Up to you.

After getting some posts, I will begin keeping track of the stats, just like on the other thread.

    I will begin...

Brands Hatch 1986: layout used for the very last F1 race there, it was the same used between 1976 and 1987. Same version used for several Race of Champions editions.

Donington Park 1937: former layout of the track when it was as staple of pre-war grand prix racing.

Monaco 1985: chicane turned into a terrifying lane changer instead of the current stop.

Monaco 1970: no swimming pool, after Tabac it's a run straight down to the last hairpin.

Le Mans 1986: no Dunlop Chicane, no Hunaudieres Chicanes, kink at Mulsanne Corner.

Suzuka 1962: Track just like when it opened to business. Some reprofiled corners and no last chicane

Suzuka 1987: just like when F1 started to use it.

Long Beach 1979: quite a different layout when F1 raced there.

Silverstone 1988: the missing version with the slower chicane.

Watkins Glen 1948: back when it was not even a racetrack, but a layout between public roads.

I'm curious how you're going to consolidate answers for historic layouts?

Anyway, this is my list in alphabetical order:
    1. Brands Hatch 1976-87
    2. Buenos Aires 5-S (can already be test-driven by invalidating the lap)
    3. Cadwell Park Woodlands
    4. Laguna Seca 1968-87
    5. Le Mans Circuit de la Sarthe 1986 (although 1989 would fit better with our current Group C cars)
    6. Le Mans Karting International (the fastest of the 3 kart tracks, the one in Project Cars 2)
    7. Monaco 1955-71
    8. Monza Oval "race of two worlds" 1957-58 (counter-clockwise)
    9. Nürburgring 1984-94 "Castrol-S" (1995-2001 with sharper Veedol chicane could work as well)
    10. Nürburgring Betonschleife 1971 EDIT: Nürburgring GP 95-01

These did not make my list, but I've left them here as inspiration for others:
    • Hockenheimring 1966-69
    • Hockenheimring Drag Strip
    • Long Beach 1975-81 (or maybe 1992-98 would fit our current F-USA better?)
    • Monaco 1976-85 (We've been promised an F-Classic era Monaco, but we're probably getting the 1986-98 one)
    • Nürburgring Müllenbachschleife
    • Oulton Park 1973-91 (i.e. with Britten's, without Knickerbrook chicane)
    • Karting de Spa-Francorchamps (probably licensing issues, since Project Cars 2 had a fictional track inspired by Spa called Greenwood despite also having the Spa-Francorchamps F1 track)
    • Suzuka 1962-1982 (chicaneless)
    • Velo Cittá mountain loop from AMS1 - need to look up what it's called

    No specific order:
    1-Kyalami 1992/93
    2-Nurburgring 1984-1994
    3-BrandsHatch 1960-1975
    4-Ibarra 1970-1983
5-Interlagos 1992 (more or less the same but a different feeling)
    6-Buenos Aires 1972-1978
    7-Monaco 1973-1975
    8-Montreal 1979-1986
    9-Watkins Glen 1956-1970
    10-Suzuka 1962-1975

Already teased in a very old tweet IIRC, and the last time we've heard any more hints was in a discussion in the October 2022 Dev Update with a hint that Kyalami might come in a Historic Track Pack pt. 2

In no particular order, some layouts/historical settings that come to mind:
    • Long Beach GP c.1978
    • Long Beach GP c.1995 (could even add a few more minor Long Beach variations)
    • Monaco c.1969
    • Monaco c.1988
    • Brands Hatch c.1966 (and c.1986 would also be nice)
    • Suzuka c.1988 (again trying to keep this to 10, but '60s Suzuka would also be cool)
    • Cleveland GP c.1987 (i.e. the original layout)
    • Laguna Seca c.1987 (i.e. the original layout)
    • Indianapolis road course c.2001
    • Indianapolis oval c.1995

The idea is to gather up the votes that point to a layout that has stayed the same through a range of years. For example, Suzuka 87 and Suzuka 88 got a vote each, but the track was unchanged from 1987 to 1989, so that will have two votes, under an entry specifying the range of years involved.

The idea is to count 10 inputs per member. Do I just repeat Roar's votes for you, or should I just count these ones?

Don't get me wrong, I love historical layouts and tracks, but I think making the multi-player a real stable success with scheduled races and rating is financially a much higher urgency for the long-term viability of Reiza than any historical layout at this point in time.

Allow me to get you wrong: Instead of contributing to this thread saying you love layouts, why not simply prove it by sharing your wishlist? That's the topic of this thread, after all. It's not that you're wrong, you're just off-topic ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

There's only one layout I really want and that's Nord Tourist. Specially awesome in combination with AC's MP system of picking cars. The host can select a couple of cars and people can then pick between these cars. The twist: Maybe only 2 GT3's available, 3 GT1's, etc. Fastest cars have less slots, slower cars have more slots. This creates a nice dynamic

    So.. Nordschleife Tourist. :D

Nordschleife needs the VLN layout for proper multi class racing.

    Alright here it goes

that short Sudshleife layout (forgot the name)

    Classic Brands Hatch

    classic Laguna Seca

    Classic Monza oval

Indianápolis 2007 GP Layout (not a fan of the current RC)

    classic Monaco

I know that Le Mans is not here yet but since they mentioned 3 variants I hope there’s a version of the 1990’s one without the chicanes to do some 80’s group c fun and for 70’s both a early 70’s and a 72 version if possible and the Bugatti circuit

Classic GP layout for Long Beach

    Classic Watkins Glenn

    Classic Buenos Aires GP layout
