Not really the answer i'm looking for. It would not in my opinion be an official Top Speed stat. If anyone has a more construtive answer, its welcomed. I'm looking for Official Top Speed Stats for a prodject. So it has to be official for each vehicle.
So do you mean in game or IRL? If in game, then you’ll have to test since AFAIK there isn’t an official list. IRL, then I have no idea except just looking on websites
If I wanted to do real life, I wouldnt be able to cover all vehicles (The Lawnmowers etc). As my project would involve a Top Speed Filter, so if I didnt have all top speeds for every vehicle then that filter would not be accurate. If I cannot get the Top Speed, it's no big deal I can just leave that out of the filter search etc. Plus I just finished recording every Vehicle and Taking Pictures of every vehicle, that in its self was a long hard mission. Recording, replys, then editing, converting and uploading every vehicle.
I don't think top speed as such exists for most cars, surely not as a stat to be extracted. It depends on many many factors, like aero settings, gearing, atmospheric pressure, etc. It's also probably somewhat irrelevant for racing on most tracks, so honestly I'd leave that out of the search. If you really want to know, I think your best bet actually is to test it yourself. Go out on Monza '66 with each car for a lap and see when it can't go any faster.
I have it for all cars at Daytona with default setup + wings adjusted & gear ratios if need be. It's fairly accurate although things do change in time. When I get a moment I can add to the Extended Car Info SS..
Daytona is not the best place to test it. I usually use the main Galeão airport runway (maybe Cleveland can also work) because there you have 3 to 4 Km straight to do it. The only problem is that both runways are as bump as it can be. The fastest car I tested is the Formula Classic G1M2 with 431Km/h. The car could go even fast if the engine didn't blew up. I believe that there would be a Indycar that go faster than this, but the issue is that the oval tracks haven't long enough straights to test and we can't choose the "low drag" aero kit as we want... so... This screenshoot was taken some good updates ago... because of that, this have to be tested again. Abração!
Please feel free to run ~240 individual tests at Galeão and kindly share your results with the community..
Just like in RL there is no exact OFFICIAL or maximum topspeed for the different car classes. Because as closer you go to the topspeed the more minor little things can influence.
From a pure mechanistic approach and disregarding aero, you can have a roughly approximation by: Choose default setup. Read Redline rpm at in-game car's hud. Read Final Drive Ratio (@ Diff) and Last Gear Ratio at setup/driveline. Calculate Wheel rotation at driven axle. Calculate Max (possible) speed. Using Chevrolet Cruze Stock Car 2022 as example: Redline = 6200 rpm Final Drive = 2.571 6th Gear = 1.095 Driven wheel axle rpm = 6200 / (2.571 * 1.095) = 2202 rpm Tyre Diameter = 0.660 m (Using telemetry with SecondMonitor or Simhub) Tyre Circum. = 2.0735 m Theoretical Max Speed = 2202 rpm * 2.0735 m = 4566 m/min = 274 km/h Top Speed will be influenced by intrinsic physics characteristics of the car, by setup and the circuit but in any means will equals the Max Theoretical Speed. [EDIT] Note that Longitudinal Tyre Slip at Driven Wheels is around 2 and 3% for most cars and so the Top Speed is around 97% of the Max Speed. Considering other factors and running at a long flat circuit you can estimate to achieve around 95% of Max Speed or minus yet. [EDIT2] From memory Top Speed at Interlagos (default setup) is 240 km/h or 86% of the Max Speed
