Track is Soaked and it's Raining but.....Slicks

Running a league with the Formula Trainers using fixed setups and the next race is gonna start in the rain. Tried a practice last night and the game consistently started the cars on the semi-slick tyres which are pretty much undriveable in the conditions.

Anyone got any advice/ideas on how to force the use of wets?

I've managed it by changing to wets on the grid, saving the setup then reloading it before I ready up. Ideally, I'd like something a little more straightforward for the race on Thursday.

What is the trackstate set to for race start? If it’s not Damp (might not be wet enough) or Wet/Soaked then the track starts dry and the rain gradually makes it wetter explaining the Semi-Slick

 

I've set the track to Wet and Default Progressing during practice races and still the same result.

 

We have even tried storm etc and it still putts semi slicks on

 

We know of a workaround in which you change to wets save the setup and load but it’s a faff getting all the drivers to do that before a race

 

Seems like it’s linked only to these cars. Formula Trainer Advanced seems to work

 

@CrimsonEminence it sounds like slicks in the rain still need further polishing?

 

I don’t think it’s a case of slicks need further polishing. It just needs to select the correct tyre for the conditions

 

Well, this has screwed our league race over tonight. In wet conditions the default setup puts the semi-slicks on the Formula Trainer. And in the dry it puts wets on!

Can anyone tag a dev or admin in this thread please?
