I've noticed that after pitting with the Porsche GT3 Gen 1 at Sebring, the tyres are fully green when I exit the pits. Is this normal? If so then I assume that this car uses tyre blankets, is there an option to unselect tyre blankets? The reason for this post, a friend of mine says that his tyres are blue after a pitstop in the same car at the same track. I'm reinstalling just to make sure everything is back to square one.
GT3 Gen1 uses tyre blankets, GT3 Gen2 does not. Thus, tyres you're getting during a pitstop are pre-heated in Gen1 but not in Gen2. As far as I remember there is no setting for tyre blankets in AMS 2. It's prescripted whether a series uses tyre blankets or not.
