Friday and Saturday 1.6 felt amazing!! I was blown away by the physics, audio and visual updates. I bought all the new dlc straight away and fell in love again with AMS2. fast forward to today, snap oversteer for no reason, Brake bias not working, more oversteer, some understeer, and loads more oversteer and snap oversteer. None could be saved. I stopped subscribing to iceracing (iracing) because they never got it right. Always sliding, at every bend. No race cars do this unless on road tyres. I know this cause i've raced irl. Cars and bikes!! So i understand how it all works. Is AMS2 following the icecube for tyres route? Is there a new bug? Will it be patched? I want to race and enjoy grip, and fight with the grip, not focus on sliding. I'm not an ice skater!! I really hope this is a silly bug and the dev's are onto this. Or is every happy doing donuts for no reason? I never go into forums to 'vent' or say anything, but today i had to close ams2 for the first time ever because it felt stupid. I had 30 ppl in my lobby and all were saying what's up with the rears and the brake bias. So even now I'm asking the same question, "where have the tyres gone, and why is there suddenly loads of unrealistic oversteer from a sim replicating cars with more grip than most could ever dream of to an ice skating simulator"? There's also still the alt tab bug, i can't invite friends to a lobby bug, the usual lobby bug, and i did a fresh install yesterday ffs. Same issue's........ And now it's like the tyres failed to download.....

Some details about the server config / cars and tracks you were using.

It's the same game you were playing at the weekend though.

Maybe it´s the setup of your Force Feedback. I had the same problem with ACC (like racing on ice, perfect description!) and have also the real racing backround myself.
Here in AMS2 I found the solution in an custom FBB-file I modified like I feel it in the real cars I driven on track, the AMS2 physics as it is are good for me. The problem was the unsufficient calculation of g-force simulation in FFB so you don´t got a feel for to hard steering movements or how close you were at the edge of the griplevel, so you were not able to recognise the moment of getting to fast and resulted in to much sliding or doing a kind of a scandinavian flick without even noticing it because of to less feeling for the body movements/weight transfer!

It´s based of the rFuktor file, I shared it in the custom-FFB thread. Maybe you have to test it a bit with your wheel, I could only do tests with Fanatec DD CSL 8nm.
Here is the link: Automobilista 2 Custom Force Feedback - Overview & Recommendations

And in case this also doesn´t match your expectations, soften the dampers in rebound 1-2 clicks (especially on rear axle), and play a bit with the differential settings, and at last maybe reduce the spring rates/stabilizers a bit.

There hasn’t been any update or changes between your previous experience and how your finding it now.

but it might pay to delete your set ups folder in my docs folder (inside the savegame folder, named vehiclesetups_1_6 . And any other versions of the folder if present.

also be sure to test like for like conditions from previous days , as cold tires and cold tracks will feel very different from say TT state. it can take a few laps for tires to come in .

As the original author of the rFuktor tune you have edited a handful of lines in , I think the term is Edited ….. rather than Written yourself .
and your very free to do so, it’s a feature of the files ;)

Sorry, you´re right! I corrected it, I´m not an english native speaker
It was your file I used for the modification, so without you it wasn´t possible :)

I must admit that sometimes AMS2 can feel different, I have got on there and thought, somethings not right, I check all my settings and everything seems correct, after a while it seems back to normal. I just put it down to me being out of sorts o_O

Been over a month and this is a one-post-wonder. Clearly rage bait and trolling or they would have come back :)
