v.1.6 & endurance content. Reiza, PLEASE train the AI....

    Considering AMS2's current content, IMSA partnership, and some hints in the dev updates this year, I expected the endurance element to be heavily improved with v.1.6.

    I have been trying to do mini-enduros (2h, 2.4h, 500km, 250mi, etc.) since the sim launched. I admit that it has come a long way and improved a lot. But it seems the AI still has issues managing the fuel.

    Examples:

    1. Trying to simulate the Interlagos 1000 miles, a traditional Brazilian race, I set a grid with a number of different cars but I was driving and paying more attention to the P4 class. The race was set to 187 laps (~ 500mi) with fuel consumption and tyre wear at 2x. I had to do 4 pitstops, but every other P4 car did around 9 pitstops. They were consistently pitting a lot earlier than expected. I doubt they did it because of crashes or anything. They just won't use their fuel.

    2. Simulating Le Mans 1998, I had GT1 and some other classes on track for a 6h race. First of all, every GT1 was clearly doing at least 1 lap less than it should. Then, near the end, the two leading Nissans did a pitstop with half of the fuel left. After that, one of them ran out of fuel on the last lap. These two behaviors were present in the previous version. Fuel consumption and tyre wear were at 1x for this one.

    It was also clear that the AI was doing full service every pitstop, even when it was not needed. It also seems the AI will always make a full service even if they have to pit with a few laps to go.

    Disclaimer: the race was still ridiculously fun, and that's why I am so eager for some fixes on this sim.

    The two races above were done with v.1.6.

    3. In the other hand, I did a "Cascavel de Ouro" (another traditional Brazilian race) simulation, a 2h race at Cascavel with fuel/tyres at 2x using the Renault Clio Mod from Thunderflash. It was brilliant. The AI was using all the fuel and some even did a splash and go near the end. I just wonder why can't official content work like this... (note: that was still using v.1.5)
