[V1.6.9.95] Game doesn't boot past logo-thread [Solution]

    I have an issue after the update. The game starts, loads the REIZA Studio logo and then closes. I already tried a few suggestions like deleting the Automobilista 2 folder from Documents, but still the same problem. If I roll back to the previous game version, it works fine.

    That's odd. Do you by any chance use mods? If so, please update or remove them. As well any leftovers.

    I do not use any mods at all. I also tried to reinstall the game completely, but same issue happens after a fresh install. It only works with the previous version.

    You've used mods before? Perhaps any leftovers that weren't deleted. Anything else you use in particular, like peripherals?

    cant pass the reiza logo too. I tried everything and erase the mods. nothing worked.

    Thanks. This changes a few things. Can you try to back up your AMS2 folder in my documents > delete it > boot up AMS2. Do a verify cache as well. Any other information also welcome, like settings or championship that's you were running, etc.

    I had the same issue, I could not get through Reiza logo after update, but fully verified files and after one files were found as corrupted I got into the game

    Hi,

    After this update, the game won't start anymore!

    It loads the Reiza logo screen, but that's it.

    Steam says the game is running, but Task Manager says it isn't.

    “Verify the files” downloads 11 files, but the game still doesn't work.

    So what now?

    Hi,

    I collected the reports about the game failing to boot past the logo in this thread.

    Please try the following:
    To back up and delete the AMS2 folder in My Documents
    1. Navigate to My Documents.
    2. Locate the AMS2 folder.
    3. Copy the AMS2 folder to a backup location (e.g., external drive or another directory).
    4. Delete the original AMS2 folder from My Documents.
    5. Boot up AMS2 and check if it progresses past the logo.
    To verify the Steam cache:
    1. Open Steam and go to your Library.
    2. Right-click Automobilista 2 (AMS2) > Properties.
    3. Navigate to Installed Files > Verify Integrity of Game Files.
    4. Wait for the process to complete.
    5. Boot up AMS2 and check if it progresses past the logo.
    To remove mods:
    1. Navigate to the AMS2 installation folder.
    2. Delete any mods or leftover files related to mods.
    3. Boot up AMS2 and check if it progresses past the logo.
    Career-applications
    1. Boot up the game without using any career-applications, Like Zero to Apex, etc.

    Hi All - I could be the only one, when I start the new update it shows the Reiza screen but when it goes to the track icon screen it shuts down. I went back to the previous version and it is all okay and gets into game. I did an integrity check and everything okay. Should I be alarmed as I can't use the latest update. I have a 9800x3d with a 4070TI Super and 32gb ram.

    tried everything. still not passing the reiza logo.
    my specs: ryzen 5800x, 16gb ram 3400, rtx 3060 12gb, 512 gb pcie
    turtlebeach velocity one race and simruito pedals

    ----

    Solved. the problem is the app Zero to apex to who as installed.

    game wont start for me goes to the reiza loading screen and shuts down , done the usual thing verifying files and then deleting my documents still no good .So uninstalled game and re-installed but no go , it works fine in the beta ,HELP THANKVersion: V1.6.9.95S

    I can confirm, if you are using the Career mode app "Zero to Apex", this is what's stopping AMS2 from loading. I lost like 5 hours of my day trying to figure this out. Just 20 minutes ago I uninstalled Zero to Apex, then restarted AMS2. It loaded up with no problem.

    I never usted the Zero to apex mod, but I will make sure that there is no companion or career app there. I'll update this when I can confirm. Thanks for the help!

    Rolling back to previous version of AMS2 Jul 9, 2026 to see if I can play Zero To Apex. I will report back shortly :)

    This is usually viable but if you would potentially be doing this on the regular I would suggest you backup your existing profile before your first run after an update especially when it's been a while between updates. Often it will be fine but I can't make a firm guarantee of backwards compatibility if a profile gets saved on the new version.

    The game crashes to windows afer the update but when I reverted back to the previous build and it works. Anyone else had the same issue?
