Hi all, I have refrained myself from posting earlier on this topic as I am a novice in simracing and know the majority of the issues I encountered so far is just my lack of skills. I like racing the old Lotus 98T and the V10-gen2. Mostly on Spa 1993 and Spa 2020. Sometimes Spa 2022 and Red Bull ring. Most of the time I just do free practise and some time trials to up my skills. Occasionally, when I feel I'm in a good vibe, I do a single offline race with 10min free practice, 10min qualify and a race of 10 laps with only 10 cars in total. Because I'm a novice I set the cars to only 10 and the opponents settings to the lowest settings (IIRC 80% and low aggressiveness). Yesterday was the first time I actually made pole and also won a race. So slowly progressing but experiencing the same AI issues I encountered from the start. Therefor posting now to see if it's still me, or actually the sim or certain settings. During FP and qualifying I always have other cars turning into me on the pit fast lane. I'm already fully in the fast lane, I see them coming out of the garage and they just act like I'm not there. Is that known/normal AI behaviour? They just run through me, no collision/damage. I only have actual collisions with physical impacts once out of the pit. During FP/Qualy I also notice they don't seem to care if I'm next to them inside a turn (or sometimes even straights). AFAIK you need to leave some space when battling but they just take their ideal line and don't seem to care if I'm at the apex first or inside the turn with them, they just ram me out of the way. Is this to be expected? Especially when aggressiveness setting is on low, I didn't expect this. It makes FP & qualifying very frustrating sometimes. (Running latest update of AMS2.)
