Anyone know how to fix this- The mirrors are showing forward. Also in the Difficulty Screen I make changes but when driving the changes did not take effect, seems stuck to one setting, as in- set transmission to manual- in game upshifts only. Only happening with the V10, all other vehicles are fine (mirrors & Difficulty). Deleted the V10 dir. then Verified Integrity via Steam but no effect.
For the gears, I think settings get stuck to upshifts, so you'll have to modify it in options. If I remember correctly, this has to be fixed yet. Not sure about the mirrors though.
The car´s electronic aids are set separately from the game driving aids (even though they function similarly), the V10s did run fully automatic boxes so that´s why it´s set on by default. You may switch it off from the garage or by mapping keys for adjusting these electronic aids onboard (not by using the F keys). The mirrors seem to be poorly positioned in the V10 but the switching up may be related to adjusting your POV around. I´ll look into it.
While at it, kindly consider/noting too the issue of the screen freezing (varies, around 3-5 secs) during an offline race (thread has been posted already some days/week ago). I spoke too soon when I said it was addressed after I updated my nvidia drivers to the latest, but apparently not, as it happened again just now (multiple freezes w/in the first 3 laps only of a short 6 lap race - Boxer @ Spa). Thanks!
Thank you RS- SOLVED- Shifting fixed in Garage (I should have seen that). Also I changed in the 'F_V10_cockpitinfo.ini'- MirrorPos=(0.0, 0.60, 0.35) to MirrorPos=(0.0, 0.60, -0.35). Don't know where my negative went, these files were recently replaced (due to this problem) via 'Verified Integrity via Steam'. mirrors seem to be fine now SOLVED(?).
Found an interesting thread about mirror's in general. Maybe @Renato Simioni or one of the car-guys can comment on it to see if all issue's are adressed ? Cockpit Mirrors, ViewPoint and XY Scale
Found another fix for forward facing mirrors- in the .plr file the line 'Moving Rearview="0" // Whether mirrors respond to head movement in cockpit (0=none, 1=position-only, 2=FOV-only, 3=both) - add 4 if you want to IGNORE head-tracking movement'; 0 is correct (for my prob). Mine was 'Moving Rearview="3"', don't ask me how...
