Looking for suggestions for capturing the video to be able to save and edit. I used to use (and still have the equipment but I last used it 4 years ago) a Hauppauge setup which was pretty cumbersome in my opinion and I am not certain that is the most efficient method these days. I apologize in advance for my ignorance and will appreciate any advice. Thanks, John
@White Oak Racing Hi mate, take a look at OBS Studio (Free). Capture and Streaming, it also allows simple editing.
I used Fraps for years and it was great (actually paid for the full version), but it hasn't been updated in a long time, so no longer works with windows 10, so avoid that. +1 for OBS, I've got it set up with the same hotkeys I'm used to in Fraps and it works very well.
Same here, used to like Fraps on win7 but now switched to OBS works great and has nice customizability.
in Windows 10 you can use the Gamebar. WINDOWS+G starts the system. WINDOWS+ALT+R starts/stops recording.
Hello friends. I use OBS and, in AMS2 when I use Alt + TAB going back to Windows the capture is interrupted. I have tried the Windowed and Borderless options but the problem persists. What am I doing wrong? Bye
Nothing, that's just the way it is. When AMS 2 isn't in focus it pauses the visual playback. As far as I know there is no way around it. To add to the list, I use OBS for all my game capturing too. For AMS 2 I capture the Oculus mirror rather than the game itself, but that probably isn't necessary for most.
