I’ve been a lurker for a while in these forums and been with the early access since day one and I love this game.

I play in VR only and noticed a massive frame rate drop in the last few days. I run a fairly decent machine with Nvidia 2080ti and all settings on ultra with super sampling at 1.2 to cater for all weather situations (1.5/6) for clear racing works fine for me.

last week I updated to the latest Win 10 release 2004 (I know, a bit too early) but had no issues.

The day of v1 release also coincided with the latest Nvidia driver release. So I updated and noticed a big FPS drop in VR. (I use a rift s)

I rolled back the Nvidia drivers and it all went back to normal.

Last night I tried the latest drivers again and the issue returned and I found that the latest window update Win 10 2004 introduced a feature for GPU scheduling if your graphics card and drivers support it. It’s supposed to improve latency. The latest Nvidia drivers switched this feature on for me. (Even though it’s default setting is supposed to be off)

If I switch this feature off in windows graphics settings, the FPS problem goes away.

I’ve noticed a few posts and FPS drops so hoping this may help a few.

Check your settings. The new GPU scheduler is in Settings -> System -> Display -> Graphics Settings. The interface for the setting will only appear if the GPU and GPU driver supports the GPU scheduler.

Failing that, roll back your Nvidia drivers and see if that helps. Both worked for me.
