For anyone having VR performance issues, particularly with Day/Night/headlights or weather, I’ve finally made a step change. Admittedly I’ve a higher end PC, but on my G2 I can now run ultra at 100% SS with reprojection on in all weather… or true 90fps at 70% in dry…day - a bit of tweaking and I’m sure there’s a 70% 90fps balance on in-game settings. Download and install Process Lasso (Bitsum. Real-time CPU Optimization and Automation) and set your CPU priority for AMS2VX.eve to High… game changer! For rest of my settings please see the post on Reiza forums - https://forum.reizastudios.com/.../vr.../page-62... And yes, it can run a full grid at long beach at night! And who knows, it may help 2D performance too, let me know. Rob g2/3090/5950x
default taskmanager also has the cpu priority feature i have never seen any difference in any game regardless if i set it to low or realtime, i just feel like nowdays it would be pretty hard to bottleneck a cpu if u dont have cpu heavy stuff running in the background like rendering. what i am trying to say is that windows should by default give the game a higher priority due to its "request" for lots of cpu cycles but i guess good that it helped you
No difference for me. Even with my CPU and GPU nowhere near their limits I get constant stuttering. Given up trying now.
Thanks for the info, curious if you are seeing the same results setting the AMS2VX.eve to High or Realtime in Windows task manager?
I don't think Task Manager remembers those settings, so you'd have to toggle it every time you play the game (or create a shortcut with the right parameters for the game startup or something). Personally I would remember it maybe once out of 50 game sessions.
hey all - sadly it seems this trick doesn't work for me anymore post last night's update... back to square 1!
