I have been informed that there is an issue where weather in Single Player (offline) for a select date with historic weather does not match up with weather shown in Multiplayer. I tested August 18th 2022 for Gateway Oval Offline, and for 9 AM, 1PM and 5PM everything was looking good for a race (overcast and partly cloudy). Come race day, host loaded same date / time slot and was met with fog and rain for all three slots. Can someone else test this to see if we are maybe seeing an isolated incident?
This is expected behaviour and what you are seeing there is the fact we treat all events as weekends with regard to real weather to prevent three sessions of identical wether happening if session start times are similar (there are no date settings for pre race sessions) In practice what that means is that Qualfying sessions take weather from one day prior to race day and Practice will take weather from two days prior. If you load test day with 16th August @ 10:00 you should find your foggy session.
@Dave Stephenson Thank you for the explanation. We have updated our notes so we aren't inadvertently planning practice during monsoon season! Will there ever be an option to host all 3 sessions on same day? (like a boolean choice in the menu)
