Why have a scheduled FCY? Help me understand

I saw the setting that allows for setting up a scheduled Full Course Yellow. Why would I want to use this? Help me understand.

 

Some racing series, such as Stock Car Brasil, use a scheduled Full Course Yellow in the middle of the race in order to bring the cars closer together for the sake of making the racing more exciting.

 

...or copa truck is using scheduled FCY as well
I like this feature and use it often

Making it interesting for the audience is all that counts these days so it seems. However good a driver you are, the rules will set you back to the mediocre level of all others. What a rubbish.

I didn´t know this exists in real racing either. It´s as useless and unfair as fan boost in Formula E.

 

Same in Nascar.....FCY restart after each "Stage" of the superspeedway race.

 

And just when you thought DRS in F1 would create artificial excitement you learn that there are scheduled full course yellows. Didn't know that, thanks for the explanation. Imo there's something wrong in racing when you need these artificial tools.
