Why are you hiding yourself by using one name(pseudonym) in the forum and a complete other inside the game in as example the Leaderboards? It could be much more fun if the drivers positioned on the leaderboards correlated to posters in the forum. As it is now the names on the leaderboards are completely unpersonal compared to the different posters - that you somehow (by good or bad ) feels you know (somehow). In as example iRacing where people was forced to use their proper names in both forums and on track the feeling of some kind of common racing "comraderi" was much higher than this anonymous gamer void. ByTheWay: The only other person I feel I somewhat know/recognise in both forum and LBs is @SaxOhare. Another from the LBs I dont know much about is the LongDingDong on LBs
Well, privacy. So people or companies or whatever can't combine the accounts. BrunoB on Reiza, but MyPonyLover on Steam. No one knows it's you.
Oh man. Did you really need to reveal my second name? ByTheWay: Im a bit sorry that LongDingDong is allready used - Dammit
Im on there as 2ndLastJedi just been a while since i did some laps other than the Porsche Cup at Bathurst i think .
OK sorry. Actually I didnt mean 100% literally that I could only recognise Sax on the LB lists - mainly because I have only driven the F-V10 G1 the last month and know(or suppose) that if I checked some of the LB lists for other cars then I would probably find a few others who like you isnt afraid to show their forum name on the LB lists. ByTheWay: I hope its obvious that I just started this thread because I would consider it more positive for the AMS2 "community" if we got some more common-ish feeling
I ask myself this very same question. I do rather race against people with their real names than alias, it feels more real, like a real race experience. And who knows, sometimes you can race against professional drivers, like F1 drivers, Nascar, Indy and others, like it does happen in iracing and ACC. Of course, IMO. I do use my real name both forum and LB. Maybe could be a feature to be add, to change to your real name at LB. Because there are some people who dont wanna change their steam alias in other games.
I hear you. But Im a bit ashamed that I dont completely fancy the use of real names in games and generally on the net. The reason is mainly that Google, Facebook and all these other "scrounge" or parasite services have only one aim which is to harvest such data trying to pinpoint both who you are, where you live and where you spend your nettime. Principally I was pro iRacings demand of using real names - but both while I was a member and after I recieved tons of spam that could more or less be traced back to this real name policy. Hehe afterwards I was even contacted by some rather nasty people who felt the need to threaten me because of my attitude against their beloved racing game. ByTheWay: So Im pro using the same alias in both game and forum - but not so much pro using my real name such places.
