Here's what I drove...
I drove the V10 for 27 laps around Interlagos. I was supposed to be just testing if it was set up correctly for a race of 24 laps but that TC man... it just makes pounding out laps so easy before I knew it I was bone dry in the tank and couldn't believe I'd only spun once at race pace in 33 mins. Curbs are apparently the only thing that can defeat the TC.
Well, not today, but yesterday i had a few laps with the Lancer RS on Montreal at night.
20+ practice laps and a 20min race with ai at Cordoba with Metalmoro. I just love that car, it's like reborn in AMS. One of the best cars I've ever driven in any sim.
I've been addicted to the Lancer Cup all week. For some reason, I'm a huge fan of the series...even though I never heard of it until it came to SCE.
mix class in online.
I've been doing practice laps with the Formula Vee's at all of the Brazilian tracks.
AI's at 100% and assists off...just been plugging away, until I equal or beat the AI time at each track.
I've got a couple of tracks to go and I will have learned each track in the Vee's; I think if you master a track in the Vee's you always will remember it.
i'm "stuck" with Minis... also practicing in taruma no chicane for sunday club race at RD
Somehow I think I am the only one who enjoys Marcas. I really enjoy driving these 200bhp sedans around various tracks in AMS.
And little game out there that offers has much touring cars-ish disciplines where Marcas has quite a good amount.
@Cheesenium, I'm a big fan of the Marcas too, just had to adjust MaxForceAtSteeringRack=2500.000000 in the realfeel.ini to get some bloody weight into the steering.
I'm currently spending a lot of time in the Formula Classic: an absolute bastard of a car to drive but it feels so good when it all comes together.
The lancer R is so much fun to drive.
I enjoy the Marcas, lift-off oversteer FTW.
Not my cup of tea at all but I raced it anyway since it gave me an excuse to do my first night race and was great fun I raced from the back against both Rs and RSs so had to pick my way through the Rs before I could threaten the RSs but they were faster than me anyway at 105% since I don't know Montreal or the cars that well. Amazing how much easier it is to follow then lead! It's awfully lonely out front in the dark especially when you don't know the track well
I love these cars but have never been able to see the bonnet in TV cockpit view because I use FOV = 50 and can't use free cam because I am also using Real Head Motion. But your post reminded me that I wanted to try modifying the offset via cockpit.ini and worked a treat so now I can be Metalmoro fan again
Cool activity idea and also thanks for the reminder that I haven't tried Formula Vee's yet in AMS (loved them in SCE so excited to try them in AMS as soon as I am back at my rig)
Yeah I'm using 38 fov and was seeing windshield only in Metalmoro. Not seeing side windows killed the sense of speed to me with it so had to move the seat further than default max. Now it's perfect.
I drove a lot of the V10 lately, trying to figure out a way to make it not clip in fast corners while still not make it float in slow corners. Still a bit of tweaking ahead of me.
I also ran some Marcas Races lately. I like the WTCC and the Marcas are quite close to that I feel.
Vee and F3.
