Automobilista 2 V1.0.5.5 & Nurburgring Pack RELEASED, now updated to V1.0.5.6

Have the GT3's, a few days ago (2?) updated again, 800+mb update, didn't have time to look.
But I'm not seeing Nords tonight.
Am I missing something?
I have another world record to topple

 

Nurbs+Nords are DLC

 

So everything's been included in every update since day one to the last update and now no track?

 

Hockenheim is DLC (Was offered for a limited time with the base game)
Silverstone is DLC
Nurbs+Nords is DLC (Nurbs was announced playable until Nords release)
Spa is DLC
The 5th unnanounced track is DLC

These 5 tracks will be purchaseable individually, as part of the Track Pack and as part of the Season Pass 2020-21

 

These two tracks auto installed along with updates months ago.
And now Nords is $10?
edit: Hocken installed, no Silverstone.

 

The tracks are always downloaded. But access to them requires DLC activation, yes. It is all known stuff if you read the dev blogs.

 

Well ya. I'm gonna go back months and months ago and read some dev blogs of whats included in my purchase And why would tracks be downloaded and fill up someones HD if they aren't buying it?

I guess I'm just wondering if what was included up until Hocken has ended. I'm almost certain what I purchased said all DLC was included for a year. Or something like that.

 

I am just saying it is a known affair is all.

Many games make you download DLC content whether you have it or not.

If you can show us what you bought, we can tell you what you get.

 

I can't remember anyone here qualifying themselves as a professionial, so this looks like a rather cheap and predictable attempt to devalue others opinions.

But, i get it. If someone does not like specific parts of AMS2 he surely must be trolling because it's the best thing since sliced bread and second coming of christ apprently.

I've never heard of any title stuffing someones HD with gigs and gigs of space for it to bloat without using any of its content.

Jarring my old memory, it was $30 or $35 in Feb or March. I thought it included all DLC (the early buy in or whatever it was called). My memory sucks regarding this, what makes it worse was all the confusion and discussion of whats included and not included last winter.

Maybe you just never noticed but it is more common than people think.

Well if you paid around 30-35 bucks, then I am sorry to say you only bought the base game, so indeed, you still received the Hockenheim tracks as a bonus but everything after will have to be bought. The early discount was for the base game (which was also reduced in the base game + season pass bundle).

 

Lots of games do it and have been for years , generally you pay extra to unlock content that's already within the software you initially downloaded .
As for not knowing what you actually bought , try checking your steam purchase history maybe .

 

OK, that makes sense explained that way. The early base came with one track DLC it seems.

Do we know if the Nordschleife is a 2020 laserscan?

 

Possibly, depending on when Reiza got the scans. But the bump on Schwedenkreuz is gone so it is a 2019 scan at the very least

Extra info: All modern, officially licensed Nords are laser scanned. It comes with the license as the track owners are one of the few keeping their own laser scan. Reiza used the SMS track as a starting block but updated and modified it to their liking. Also a laser scan is just shape data, so how the track behaves still needs to be coded in too

 

I think he asked for the year of the scan...

Guys sorry, dd2 user here, messing with wheel setup, i find very difficult to drive porsches, too bouncy, maybe is my fault because i did not delete the ffb folder...can someone pls clearly explain what to do?!?

Meanwhile AMS 2 feels so real, there is no big difference between real and sim anymore.
There are only two things:
1: no SIM can do this; butterflies in my stomach and the satisfaction when escaping (healthy) from the wall
2: when crashing, with AMS it is not so expensive

Everybody who still means that AMS is not realistic does something wrong, maybe driving too slow and pushing too less.
