I should test it on my 27" because I think maybe the smaller monitors may mask the issue.

It doesn't! I was on a 40" 4k screen and still very evident :( But now have 1080p 27's and it ain't good. Yeah it isn't traditional aliasing, its the shadows and the night shimmer from (i guess) reflections

@CrimsonEminence yeah its good its now and not off the table.

I run a 42'' 1080p TV as a monitor and the AA, shadows and shimmering are definitely not a strong suite of the game (but to be honest affect many other games using deferred rendering too). On the other hand, AMS2 has inherited a lot of strong points from PC2 regarding overall looks, texturing and lighting, fast loading times, great performance on non supercomputers, weather, track progression, in depth physics and cool tyre model. Personally, I take Renato's post as a positive, in that they are going to concentrate on refining and polishing the aspects of the game that are directly under their control. Personally I would welcome any improvements to in-car and environmental audio, AI consistency, car modelling quirks, missing driver animations, correct interface information, etc etc. As far as I'm aware none of these are dependent upon wrangling deep under the Madness Engine bonnet. AMS1's consistency and polish is legendary, hopefully eventually we'll all be talking about AMS2 in the same way.

Nope, haha. Not at 1080p :D 27" at this resolution also isn't small if you sit directly in front of it.

I have no problems with aliasing, as long as it can be counteracted at least a bit, it doesn't have to be perfectly smooth. But i definetly notice, what people mean with the aliasing from the ME graphics.^^

Automobilista 2 has been updated to V1.0.6.2 - this is another hotfix to our latest update, fast-tracked into release to address some relevant issues with the new content.

The hotfix also includes some of the developments intended for the update coming up later this month, hence the unusually large size.

No settings or setup reset required with this update other than for the 2 cars specified (BMW M1 Procar & Ginetta G58).

This update also completes support for custom liveries - more information and templates for all cars to be posted shortly!

    V1.0.6.2 CHANGELOG
    • Added Nurburgring Sprint Short layout
    • UI Server Browser: Disabled refresh button during cool-down period; Sort by player count descending is now default; Trimmed leading whitespace from lobby names; first item after refreshing/sorting list is now selected
    • Slow server list refresh rate and extend maximum timeout. Refresh now typically takes longer but reliably returns more servers to the UI browser page as a result.
    • Added support for car livery overrides
    • Fixed Stockcar 2020 Championship round 5 (Santa Cruz) missing rolling start and forced pitstop.
    • Revised tire tread physics for all cars (in progress)
    • Bumped steer lock range for all cars
    • Minor aero adjustments for F-Vintage, Copa Truck, Procar, Group A, Opala 86, F-Retro
    • F-Ultimate: raised baseline rear pressure
    • Increased speed tolerance to trigger jump start penalty
    • Revised FFB Max force for several cars for better consistency
    • Fixed asymetrical right front damper range in Procar
    • Revised suspension & bumpstop rates for Procar, Ginetta G58 (requires setup reset)
    • Minor weight distribution adjustment for Procar, Super V8
    • Improved AI performance at Ibarra
    • AI callibration pass (all classes)
    • Slightly increased AI roll torque stab & CoG height multiplier to minimise risk of AI cars rolling over high curbs
    • Adjusted AI code to help prevent small nose to tail bumps between AI during race starts and when drafting
    • AI now return to track in a safer manner after slipping or going off road
    • Further reductions in AI lateral jitter / weaving / abrupt moves
    • Slightly reduced bump amplitude of gravel / grass
    • Several audio balancing adjustments to GT3 & P1 cars volume levels (internal & external)
    • Nurburgring: Added missing wall at Breidscheid; minor art & performance pass; Completed VR cams for Nordschleife / 24H layouts
    • Fixed helicopters disappearing on some tracks
    • Slight tweaks to animated objects @ Brands Hatch & Bathurst
    • Bathurst: Slight improvements to night lights optimization; revised trackside cameras
    • F-Trainer: Fixed black external mirrors
    • BMW M3 E30 GroupA: Fixed windshield banner; Fixed rear wing texture error on car 02

I hope flatspot damage is greatly increased, and the Curitiba AI is fixed for the big update to come.

A small issue with multi class Ai at 100/100. Load a practice session at the current Hockenheim layout for P1 & GT3. The P1's continuously sit right up the rear bumper (too close) of the GT3 down the straights whilst hesitating off and on throttle. Many times they will not pull out and overtake the much slower GT3. Eventually they pass however it's very awkward and delayed. By this time I am 10 seconds up the road.

Tried it out and the certain cars that would tap you're backside still come damn close, but don't tap, nice work!

Any solution to several cars (GT's & JWC) having crackling during shifting and during mid-range rpm?
