And for those wondering this is the setup I was driving

 

Came back to AMS2 after some time seeing GT1's being added. Delete settings folder and reassing everything. Oh, I can't change gear up/down to sequential stick for driving those GT1's. It's paddles in game whatever I do. In menu it shows the stick's button numbers but only paddles work. (Fanatec CSL + Fanatec shifter)

Well, maybe later again...

 

I’ve not been able to figure out how to assign my sequential shifter either. Mine’s an SHH Shifter though. It just assigns to buttons on the wheel instead, and then only the paddles work anyway.
Can anyone shed any light on this?

 

Sure, he can simply wait ... or put pressure on Steam, contacting them every five minutes until the problem is solved. I mean Reiza loses money if their customers can’t buy their products. How complicated can it be to put a DLC on Steam store when this is a normal procedure happening a hundred times every day there?
And it’s not the first time. Same happened with Nurburgring DLC ... but only with AMS2!

 

I think Rieza should be understandingly be upset with steam not fixing this issue promptly, though been right on new years eve/day is bad timing for getting any issue rectified. It's still not fixed yet ,hoping still for today ,but probally unlikely Steam money is burning a hole in my steam pocket ..lol ..need to buy Reiza dlc

Go in to your Fanatac Wheel driver properties and on settings tab under Gear Shifts select Map sequential shifter to the shifter paddles. Works great.

 

Okay, I just bought the Season Pass although I already bought all DLCs separately just to get SPA immediately and of course to support Reiza...

 

For Fanatec wheel and shifter there is an option within driver to map sequential shifter to paddles and it solved my issue. Not sure if there is a similar option for you with your wheel and shifter. I was never able to directly map my shifter in-game.

 

I do have a fanatec wheel so it might still be possible. Thanks.

 

Unfortunately it seems to also be a holiday for the steam staff... how dare they, right? Luckily it's something that will be fixed tomorrow at the latest.

Prepare for light to be shed!

You should be able to bind up/down in the assignments menu, but don't forget to move the little switch on the side from H to Seq. if you normally use it as H-pattern. Do this prior to binding.
Although mine works when left on H-pattern setting, it just sees different button numbers.
I read some first impressions here on the thread, seems mileage varies wildly.
I'm absolutely smitten by the new GT1's, the Porsche in particular. But I digress.
Once you've bound yer SSH, it should simply take over duties from your paddles, if you had those bound before.
I'm om a t300 modded and a standard SSH.
I hear frequent problems with controls and binding issues. Never experienced any myself. Very chuffed with AMS2 for a while now.
Hope you get it sorted, its amazing with the SSH.

I needed to be past driver 347 though. 372 works fine for me with SQ1.5 but when on 347 I could combine using the tick box but it just didn't work.

 

I’m on PC driver 328, base firmware 628, motor 22, and wheel 27. In game I map gear up/down to paddles then combine in driver. This gives me option at anytime to use paddle or sequential. If I need H-pattern I move slider.

This has served me well on all my SIMs. I haven’t looked in to a new driver such as 347 or greater(might now out of curiosity).
