Hi all, My FFB has been cutting out a few times mid race. It's not very consistent behaviour but usually it's not the first race I have. I'm using a Thrustmaster TS-XW Racer which I updated the firmware to 4.00 and the Diver is 2.10.10.0 I've checked the base when it happens to make sure it can still produce movement using the Test Forces tab in the Thrustmaster TS-XW Racer Control Panel and yes it still functions. I need to restart AMS2 for the wheel to be picked up again. I was driving the 911 GT3 R. Anyone else having a problem?
It's a known engine issue and not specific to any particular model or manufacturer of wheel: Automobilista 2 Force Feedback - Overview & Recommendations
I don't no the meaning of "cutting out", If it means "stops working" i had the same experience twice with my Thrustmaster TS-PC. Not the hard right or left bug, but just suddenly total loss of FFB
Pretty sure you are both talking about the same thing. Reiza made changes a while ago so that instead of the hard pull, the FFB stops instead, see their post about it.
Helas, they are searching in the dark. Strange, I had the hard right once before (long time ago), Then it was fixed, and now my problems started from V1.1.0.0.
Not in the dark, we know WHERE things go bad. There is no obvious reason WHY they go bad. As mentioned, loss of ffb is better then hard pull left/right. It's not considered permanent solution just to be clear.
Hello @deadly . What the guys are discussing above has been patched in February 2021, yours issue is something else. Can you describe how you loose FFB in more detail - preset you use and how it happens (ie normal driving on track or some "extreme" situation). What wheel you have.
Thrustmaster TS XW Standard settings in TM software, with damping/springing turned off. Ingame: Gain 80 LFFB boost 0 FX 20 Damping 0 FFB completely stops working from one moment to the next. Have to quit game to have it working again. Has nothing to do with settings, as I tried all kinds of values, also extremely low ones and also had this problem. Occurs with custom ffb, default and default+. No extreme situation needed, can also happen when going on a flat straight. In early days of game, wheel often hardly pulled to one side and I had to quit game. Since one of the updates, ffb just stops working. Happens also with my Fanatec DD2, but right now, I have no access to this wheel, as I lend it a friend whose wheel is broken and who is driving in a league.
Sorry but are you with the latest updates? TS-XW Servo Base - Thrustmaster - Technical support website And also I run my TX strictly default plus Boost Off and Autocenter by the game. Nothing to complain.
Yes, latest updates of TM. Boost off, Autocenter by game. Had this bug in early releases of the game. Then, Reiza put some entry in the default files that avoids this issue by switching off FFB in such a case. Later on, it was completely gone. No issues. Now, it occurs again. Wheel is fine, no problems in any other title.
