The Mini has gained a lot of acceleration and has become much more erratic than before under braking and especially when accelerating while cornering. Using default setup both now and before and I did reset to default after the update.

I assume this is due to the diff changes. Not saying the new behavior is right or wrong, just pointing out the big difference to what it was before, is it as intended now? I much preferred the previous one, but could end up liking the new one as well, after getting used to it.

"Increased AI speed on wet tracks while running slicks"

That was my only advantage against AI o_O

    Great update!

For me the updated release version is v1.1.0.3.1428AVX, not v1.1.0.4 ?
    Hotfix coming soon?

Did a 74mb hotfix come out after 1.1.0.4?

Just did a new TT-record on the Nordschleife while improving my old lap by almost 9 seconds, so it's a lot faster and I like it. IMO feels more alive now while still be pretty planted. I only reduced the aero to 0 and run minimum TC, so maximum value. I think it was too safe before and is better now. As a driving-tip: Just do straight-line braking first and position the car towards the exit early on entry. AMS2 punish you for braking too late with too much rotation and real life as well. These guys probably were more gaming ACC:D

Thanks for your reply! I do not have trouble managing it now, it just felt much better to me as it was before. Will need to get used to it I guess. Yeah, it is a lot faster now, at least 1-2 seconds per lap in regular tracks.

Yesterday I switched to the Silver Raw Custom FFB and so far every car feels better:)
I don't know how the real car supposed to drive, but it felt too safe/boring before for a race-car to me. A more loose differential is adding corner-agility, but also instability and when it's faster, people competing in Motorsport are doing it if there is no seal.

Yeah, I do not know either if it's more realistic now or as it was before. Just bringing it up for the devs to have a look, in case they are not aware of the big difference in behavior it has.

Yeah the Mini is now alive/doesn't bog down everywhere great job...

But not sure what's happened to the Group A cars, feel very strange.
Also not sure but a few cars seem to have slipping clutches when the Auto clutch is engaged/cayman GT4/Porsche Cup Cars.

Game feels very different, so will definitely take a few days of testing to get used to it again.

I am going to predict yes. This is how Reiza always one-ups the competition. No one will have as many layouts of Spa when they are done as AMS 2. Same with the other DLC tracks (and even some of the non-DLC).

A lot faster lol, and I just spent most of the day, running all the tracks oh dear lmao...
I think if it's meant to be like this it feels a lot better to me, and actually gets the wheels spinning/torque steer now, think it could be a riot...

Hmmm, was just driving it last eve in the latest beta, with no particular differences from weeks ago noticed, so will have to try it again in the Release version.

EDIT: drove it at Oulton Classic.
    • It is exactly the same level of "alive" that it was on first release for me
    • What has changed is that somewhere along the chain, the FFB weight became heavier
      • It is now so heavy at extreme cornering forces relative to other cars that I had to turn the car-specific gain down (now convenient to do so!)
      • If you are now just feeling the greatness of this car, you probably have your FFB settings off-kilter/too weak on all the other cars that feel just as alive as this one
    • Diff is a bit softer than before, but not a significant impact on handling
    • AI are now WAY too slow in a P session (@100%/85%)
    EDIT 2:
    • If you Skip-to-End of session, the AI lap times improve by 5+ seconds and are exactly where they should be for the settings

Not sure on that, it's quicker in a straight line, will torque steer if you plant the throttle, where before it would just bog down, as if the diff wasn't working or TC was cutting in, even though it doesn't have any.
And it also rotates mid corner instead of just pushing.
Prob anywhere between 1-5 seconds faster so far for me track dependant.
As before you could just plant your foot corner exit and the car would sort it out for you, where now you have to feed the power gently.
FFB just feels the same for me.
