I already researched about it but without success and if anyone knows and can clarify, thank you in advance. Formula Classic cars reflect what exactly in real life (Teams / Year)? Formula Classic G1 (M1 / M2): Formula Classic G2 (M1 / M2 / M3): Formula Classic G3 (M1 / M2 / M3):
Thanks @Fabian Biehne , but still confused, the clearest answer would be that G1 = 86, G2 = 88 and G3 = 91 - But the question remains with regard to the teams.
G1 = 1986 -> Generic Models G2 = 1988&1989 -> Generic Models G3 = 1991 -> M1 = Ferrari 643; M2 = Williams FW14; M3 = Benetton B191 "Generic Models" refers to the cars not being modeled after a certain marque from that year, but modeled after the gerneral shape of that era's cars.
Are Classic G1 and G2 confirmed to be generic or could they be some prototypes or underground cars? Unqualified? Not sure why you would go for those, but for instance the V10 G1 seems to be based on the Dome F105 that never actually raced in F1. I like that they are a potpourri of or influenced by different models anyway. F1 team silhouettes were so wildly different back then. I especially like that you can see part of the engine (from March 881?). It emphasises that off balance look they had: driver strapped in front of a massive engine.
The generic cars in AMS2 have a RL background. Here a link, which tries to identify the cars.^^ (though, i think, not all of them are identified) https://www.igcd.net/game.php?id=1000013971
Yes/No and I somewhat revise my statement above Looking at the link @CrimsonEminence posted, the G1M1 and G1M2 actually do look a lot like the 1986 Williams and Lotus cars. Then again, the G2M3 uses the same model as the G1M1, and the G2M1 and G2M2 are the same. Since the F-Classic G2 is a mishmash of two years, it could well be the only generic F-Classic Gen with G1 and G3 being modelled after real marques.
