I just tested it in AMS2 with the McLaren 720 in 1st gear, 0-15mph and 15-0mph with no hands, it does the something. But that's something we can live with I guess. How often do we completely let go of the wheel while the car is moving lol.

other than that, both custom FFB works like a dream with the kerb trim.

You should get paid by reizastudio for polishing their games!

I have tried everything and I am getting frustrated. I now have the .42 Silver raw file but for me it is missing the same information the default ffb is missing. The sense of weight transfer basically during the whole cornering process is very bland. The wheel gets heavier but really stays at one weight. I'm not all too bothered about that part but what drives me nuts is the dead wheel feeling on corner exit.
In a GT3 car it's no big deal but in a car with no TC when I am coming out of a corner there is literally no indication of what the car is doing, so in a car like the Super V8 I find myself having to see-saw the wheel and wait for a visual clue to see if the car is going to snap one way or another.

Is there any setting I can change to get information specifically on initial corner exit? There is no information at all right now and I have tried every combination of Gain/LFB/FX and Damping that I can think of.

    Appreciate any feedback.

I started tweaking the .42 for the G920. Seems great for actually being able to control the car with useful info. Just one issue I'm having is, if I turn up the LFB more than about 28, I get too much wheel oscillations, because I like a lighter grip on the wheel. If Karsten could point me in the right direction, it would be good. Current in game settings are 65/28/48/50.

BTW: The in game widget numbers are not displayed in the same order as they appear in the menu order. Hope there's a way to fix that.

What setting within the custom FFB file is to reduce the grainy road texture? when going down the straight, the road surface is very pronounced even when I turn the FX to 0 and FEI setting to 70% within fanalab. so I figure it must be the road surface detail with the micro bumps. It feel a bit like I have some sand within the motor while turning or going in a straight. it's not the bumps on the surface, but just a mirco grinding feel when turning or on a straight. I would love to set that value off or lower if possible. please point me to the right direction.

I’ve been planning to play with this next time I’m on pc.
My theory is it’s the scrub feeling, even when on straight.
Experiment with scrub scale reduction, and also increases in scrub frequency scale. I’ve found in the past with old scrub system that my wheel doesn’t like the micro oscillation in the feedback. increases in frequency helped smooth the wave of signal.

In v42 it should be the "texture_scale" ,if it is the texture.
Was this not an issue in v41?
I ask since I changed the way the texture is done between the 2 versions, so if it's much better in v41 I know which direction to take it.

Are you using tightening in file ? If you are I would try not having it active.

If you have wheel oscillations it's usually caused by having to much force around center.
So you can decrease either the gain or the lfb.
    Did you try Kuku's advice?

To be honest, I haven’t used v41 because of the kerb jolt. Now that I know how to trim down the jolt with the kerb, let me test this out and report back.

Test with mclaren 720 in silverstone

v42 is a bit more pronounced but both version have that grainy feeling. but I could be wrong and this is a fanatec thing. It almost feels like the tires picked up sand after you are out of track and it should take a bit to lose the sand but it just never went away. it's constant micro vibration making it feels grainy in the straight. I know this is not the uneven surface of the road but it's a texture feeling on surface. with fantec wheels, we just turn down their FEI setting from 100 to 80-90% to eliminate this feeling in PC2. With this custom FFB file, I can't seem to remove this grainy effect regardless what FEI setting I use or even turning the FX to 0%.

I also did some testing with the NuScorpii V2.5 file, when in the straight, the bumpy ffb feel of the road is present but this grainy feel is not present. It only produce this grainy feeling when cornering, which is fine and it's giving you feedback with the grip. So I guess the v41 and v42 are giving too much road surface effect making it feel grainy even in the straight? other DD1/DD2 owners, please chime in.

Here is the NuScorpii v2.5 customer FFB file I used for this test.

Edit: I also tested the recommended DD1/DD2 Preferred by @torsteinvh v381 (kerb trim applied) and this grainy texture feeling is not present. So it must be the updated details of the road surface.

Edit 2: I went back to v42 and edit the following and it seems like the grainy feels in the straight is gone.
    (texture_scale 0.50)
    (micro_bumps_scale 0.50)

    Ok, thanks,
it would be valuable for me to know if the micro_bumps_scale change is required here or not to make the grainy feel go away.
I would assume that it's not & that you could use the value as it was in v42 as posted of 1.0?

I feel what is a bit of a constant buzz which sound the same scenarios as the grainy feels.
    I tied scrub 0.0
    Engine 0.0
    micro bumps 0.0
    No change in buzz.
its something that I guess I have gotten used to .

in v42, does setting "texture_scale" to 0.0 not help either?

Sorry didn’t get that far as struggling to keep eyes open. tried suspension scale and flat spots at 0.0 too and no change.
im sure this was something felt pre texture scales in file.

It actually feels like a very subtle dampened reiza rack effect that I get in default, but in default it’s very prominent, which is what puts me off default.

Yes, but it might be caused by both micro bumps & texture, each on their own.
So it's important to know if it is happening when:
    1) texture_scale is 0.0 and micro_bumps_scale is 0.0.
    2) texture_scale is 0.0 and micro_bumps_scale is 1.0.

We know that it happens in the last 2 cases:
    3) texture_scale is 1.0 and micro_bumps_scale is 0.0.
    4) texture_scale is 1.0 and micro_bumps_scale is 1.0.

I second that input. Specially getting a very bland FFB and one-weight feeling when taking a corner which is a major step back to me when compared to AMS1.

    @Kuku Maddog,

Could you re-post your T300 settings (I also have a T300), in-game settings and a car-track combo to get a good feel of what AMS2 can do as far as FFB is concerned?
I'm really struggling to get to a satisfactory result trying on my own with custom files etc.

Thanks in advance for the help.

This I think is highly subjective, as it all is.
But it sounds to me like you want more feel of balance?
In that case it's why the balance values are there:
    1) Set the 2 balance values to something higher, maybe double them fir a start to get a sense for how much you need.
    2) Additionally you can try setting both the static force reductions to 0.0.
