Just revisited the StockCar after reading the post. Last time I tried them was months ago, and I remember them to be squirly under braking, and killing me all the time with massive on-throttle oversteer(examination of onboard footage suggests to be a gear higher than you think you should be...)
The transformation they've undergone is an absolute testament to the devs dedication and persistance.
I was immediately on the pace and never in the grass. They still require discipline and restraint, but got rid of the extreme criticality that put me off them before.
Imo these should be the signature series for this title. It's a popular series that oozes with Brazilness.
I dont know what the deal is with the 2020 cars, but the 2019 are way more fun and easier to control to my taste.
No electronic bs, roaring v8 powerplant, and tons of unique character...
The excessive bounce that gave it such an unpredictable rear-end seems to be reduced to what I would describe as really nice and compliant damping.
Along with the massive improvements to AI behaviour, it makes for very late nights...

I just love this game but was wondering as I’ve checked website but cannot find the roadmap for 2021. I have always preferred race cars rather than road cars and I am extremely curious to know if there is any pans for modern touring cars ie BTCC or WTCC as for myself personally it would make car criteria complete. Funnily enough I’m not a massive fan of the sprint car currently in game

    any info appreciated

At Interlagos historic there is a similar issue like on other tracks, i.e. after turn 2.
It feels like driving on roadlines is like driving on some glue (the opposite of walking on eggshells ;) what would be more real especially in rain)
    hitting roadline

    car pulls to right
    ss132315.jpg
and it will end up in a spin

Which car / series did you use?
I don't know if I'm right but I think it is more car instead track depending. I mainly have this issue with Formula Classic cars.
At Interlagos historic at the exit of Ferradura the car pulls extrem unexpected to right side. If there is different surface between right and left side - OK - but there is no (visual) difference.

I think you are on to something. At Spa on the kemmel straight the Porsche GT1 pulls left and the Ginetta G58 does not..

Had the worst first half of the evening ever. All kind of bugs happened. Probably just sunday struggles, lol.

    • People having pole that they shouldn't have
    • Cars front wheels in a weird angle
    • Session stuck
    • Session went to me but couldn't press continue
    • Host migration failed
    • And many more
Second half of the evening was much better.

Yes, I see, it is not so hard as what I had (or you had a better reaction ;)) but this is the strange issue when touching roadline, and I think the roadlines are causing it in most cases. It is like driving on glue, or have a broken suspension or a tire explosion. Really strange....
And I am also sure, it is less track but more car depending. I drove with Copa Truck at Curitiba and had no issues, but with others I had.

In the Formula Classic it was very evident a fairly strong left side pull on the pitlane straight

I have followed this discussion about the strange side pull on some tracks.
I havent recognised it - but has it something to do with FFB?

@BrunoB No, I think there's something wrong with the physical line between the tarmac and grass or so. Perhaps that line is a bit bugged, so the wheels think you're driving on grass and pull you off track. But hej, perhaps I am wrong, lol.

It happened to me on the long straight in Spa and the downhill-section in Imola.

To be honest I would not compare it to driving on grass... At my end it rather feels as if there is a "groove" in the tarmac that leads off track and pulls you sidewways...

That's a good description, but as I think, the "groove" is not at the track, it is at the car, because I think it is car depending....
But it seems there is really a strange issue, it is not only me with that strange, there are some more.
So I am glad, that means I am not drunken when driving, I had my fears....

I experienced a hard pull to one side on Brands Hatch (Indy) running one of the Caterham's.
IIRC, it was where different track-paths intersected.

I doubt it is car related in that it only happens on certain tracks (not all) and always in the same place. The same car in other tracks may not experience that at all.
Probably some cars (like maybe Formulas and karts) are "stiffer" than others so it can be felt much more clearly.

If that is true then why doesn't the G58 pull and the P-GT1 does...? The G58 is stiff in comparison..
